Gene Sacrifice by Shapkofil

[raw]
made by Shapkofil for LD 43 (JAM)

Text game where your decisions matter but also you relay on luck (a lot). You are playing as a organism fighting for your survival. Cross with other species to change your dna in order to survive through the AEONS. Sacrifice your weak genes in order to survive.Actualy if you think about it, you will probably end the existance of hundreds of new scecies.

The game is based on the Polyhybrid Crossing prosses (real life genetic process). Although the process is being simulated accurately, there are some unrealistic elements of the game.

I hope you enjoy playing that game as much as I enjoyed making it.

A nice concept for a game, and a good tutorial to begin with.
As a comment for the UI, it was a bit annoying I couldn't see the goal, while at the same time having the Partner screen open.
It was a nice interpretation of the theme- Good job.

Thanks for sharing your game.

Interesting principle. I like that it is based on a real life process. If you want to expand on your gamedev skills you might want to add some graphics next time.

What to say? The concept of this game is really good! You definitely got the simulation part of the game right! I also appreciate the tutorial which definitely helps with the understanding of the game. Another thing I liked is how the name of the creatures was connected to their stats, which made for some really funny combinations. The only thing I'd change is to move the UI so that it doesn't interfere with each other. 5 stars for innovation! :)
