Appreciated the game playing around with the medium much like the Poo's Training section in Earthbound. While the excellent audio design and the compelling narrative does a great job in selling the mood, I thought the point-and-click part was clunky and unintuitive. For example, how was I supposed to figure out that turning up the heat of the basement required clicking on the laptop, then the text on said laptop? Normally in a point-and-click adventure environment, I'd assume just clicking on the fireplace, or going through the task of finding a lighter and wood before approaching it, would be the right thing to do. I also thought it was strange and silly that the window needed to be opened for the cig, when ya know, it's already established that the room has a chimney, given the fireplace. Air control clearly isn't the reason.

@omiya-games Thank you for the feedback. Yes, the point-and-click mechanic is badly implemented and the "puzzles" turmed out to be rather constructed than feeling natural. That's unfortunately a flaw of the game and I ran out of time after 3 days of work. Did you yourself had a cig or some juice afterwards? ;-)

I really liked the atmosphere and the visuals fit very well! The point-and-click felt very heavily reliant on the computer. The coffee preparation sequence was the best implementation of the mechanic, with the computer providing the hints for what to do next. :coffee:

Well... that was horrifying.

You rather enjoy stripping the player of parts of their body, don't you? :P

I think that tapped into one of my biggest murderer-related fears, the torture, taking apart my senses. When the head cracking happened I shuddered.

I honestly can't say I enjoyed this game, but I didn't hate it. I experienced exactly what I think you intended for me to experience, and that's not easy to achieve. Well done.

This was a really cold and gruesome narrative game haha. Well done on your atmosphere, audio and theme. I think its really cool to see the point and click as a jam entry.

I think maybe the pacing at the very start was a bit slow for me, but this is really hard to get exactly right without time to playtest so that is understandable!

also itdve been nice if there was more freedom in the exploration, so you had more natural ways to find your choices? thats the really good part about point-and-click, that it sometimes took you hours of wandering about to find the next action progress. However i get that this is a jam so that was probably not achievable in the time - but maybe now you have the mechanics down you could expand the game out to be more free roaming?

well done and i hope you enjoyed the jam!
