Hey! Really liked your game. The graphics were well done. Liked the sound effects, felt like an 80's arcade game. I also thought the concept of the world shrinking was clever. Controls made it a little hard to maneuver, and I found it hard to aim accurately. I would love to play in first person, if at all possible, in a future release. Great work!

We also made a world defense game, and would love your thoughts:

Game works on Mac 10.10.5 - Yosemite, btw.

Really cool game, loved the graphics and the control responsiveness. A simple soundtrack goes a long way in these kind of games, but I understand it might be hard with the time constraints. Great job!

The game in general is very cool, the core mechanics are fun. The graphics are very nice and sounds are made according to the game which gives it a good overall feeling. Things that I believe could be improve are: the visibility of game objects, I think that it's cool now because the dark feeling makes you think you are actually in space but sometimes was difficulty to distinguish between the other elements and the player other spaceships. I'm really glad you added gamepad support cuz I love playing with the gamepad, I think the controllers are good but (personal taste I guess), it's a bit hard to aim with one thumbstick and move with the other, I understand it's probably hard to make it in a different way but it just feels a bit hard to focus on both things effectively. Another thing that probably could improve the current gameplay is adding more health items. These are not complaints, just feedback in case you want to extend the game in the future. Nice game!

It was awesome that you added game pad support for this game, especially in the compo. I really enjoyed the style of the game and the pace of it, nice work!

Really impressive work, there's a lot to this game, and it looks and feels quite polished. Was a lot of fun to play.

I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141469699 - Time 1:33:30

This is a really fun game! I'll have to play it more when I have time to get good. It would have been nice to have an option to see instructions instead of rushing in Leeroy Jenkins style, but it was fairly self-explanatory, so it worked. The graphics are really well-done, and the death animation works really well. The only major change I would make is maybe to make the enemies slightly bigger, so it's easier to hit them.

Was fun, but ran like crap on my laptop (about 3fps). Fun idea and fairly good implementation of all your ideas though, once I got it on a computer with a graphics card! Unfortunately putting it in "fastest" mode did nothing, so I think some shaders are always-on or it's just the game logic that's slow or something.

YES YES YES YES YES why is everyone not playing this game!??!

It's *excellent*, you did fine work here. This is a totally excellent homage to Super Stardust HD, the shrinking planet stuff is brilliant! Fun fun fun. I cranked up the soundtrack to Thunderforce III on the Genesis and played the game live on stream. I will play this again after Ludum Dare judging is over.

Your butt needs to add some leaderboards, check out dreamlo.com because they are free and excellent, it's the system I used to put leaderboards into my twin stick shooter entry! Let's be twinstick bros <3

This was an excellent entry - reminded me a bit of Super Stardust. Great feel to the controls, aiming had a bit of a challenge "bending" the bullets to hit the flyers felt good.

Powerup system was nice, sound effects were simple but functional. I liked spinning round to the dark side of the planet and seeing everything light up, witht he sun on the horizon. Great art and mood.

Nothing bad to say about this one. Impressive compo entry!

This was gorgeous. The graphics were astounding and the tinny little sound effects when you hit a spaceship were perfect. The power-ups really added depth to the gameplay as well. My only complaint is the controls. I wish I could've moved the ship instead of the planet underneath it. Anyway, the gameplay was fun, the audio was charming, and the graphics were beautiful. I can overlook the control scheme. Great work.

Excellent. Great gameplay, great concept, pretty challenging too. Controls felt very smooth. A great twist to the shooter genre. If I could change one thing, I'd give more information on the alive enemies so I know if I should be searching for them or not.

A solid entry. The game in general is very fun, the core mechanics are efficient. The aesthetic is very nice and sounds are made according to the game which gives it a good overall feeling. It reminds these old games with which I played on my Atari ST. Thumbs up. Highly rated ++

A really fun game. Kept me playing for quite some time. Graphics were beautiful, and the sounds were great. It was very challenging as well, and the controls felt smooth. The physics when hitting other spaceships gave the oomph that you so rarely get in games, and was one of my favorite aspects of the whole game.

It could get a little hectic at times, and I had a hard time understanding what hit me - but I attribute some of that to my lack of experience playing shooter games.

Overall - this was a well made and entertaining game. Good solid work!

Very good job! I love the overall visual aspect and small details like day and night areas really bring something unique to the whole experience. A chill background music would have been a good addition but still, congratulations!

An outstanding entry. I really enjoyed this one. Flying over the planet from night side to day side was an especially awesome touch. Do the clouds ever do lightning strikes? That would be so cool if there was weather :) I liked the sound fx, and I found the controls to be intuitive and responsive. I'll have to play this one some more.
