The idea is that you need to feed the demon lord life essense, but be careful, he's not afraid to suck up all of your life force too! Run about the level and collect life force from bushes. However, nature may not like you disturbing the balance...

This was made entirely by me, save for the dungeon tileset which I got from: https://opengameart.org/content/dungeon-tileset

Fun game, I enjoyed the are and the concept. It's an interesting idea to have to avoid the demon while feeding it. I wish there could have been more scenarios with it but great job for 48h ^-^

The ghosts were pretty easy to avoid. The overall concept was simple but fun. Some audio would have gone a long way to improving the game. The art was simple but worked for the world aesthetic.

I like the concept. I think it would be really cool if you added a bunch of levels or progressing difficulties and stuff like that. Nice game :)

I liked the concept very much, and it's not easy by any means. It would have been nice to have the player animated for direction.

this is a cool little concept, it was fun to play! i found it really difficult to get away from the ghosts once they'd caught me (do they slow you down?) but it's a really solid idea, and the pixel art is nice!

@lyrcaxis yeah this was the first time I actually tried to take LD seriously, didn't realize I shoulda opted out of audio, don't think I can anymore? Glad you were able to satiate the demon lord!

@voidfishing thanks for the feedback! I agree that I should have added more feedback when the ghosts hurt you (they take a small amount of essence from you on contact), and I wanted to add a skill on cooldown to push them away from you, but didn't get the time to add it all in.
