I think your point of view about a game jam is completely and utterly wrong. A Game Jam is about making a game. Not only that, it's too also have fun, to challenge yourself and learn stuff. What are you gonna say to kids that just want to have fun and want to create a game for a jam ? "Stop here, it looks like shit" ?
People are enjoying my game, even though it looks completely dull. Gameplay is, for me, far more important that any graphics. I'd rather play a fun game that look like shit that a boring one that look fantastic.
I'm a lone programmer, I absolutely enjoy creating games, and you can be sure i'll never stop creating them because "oopsie I can't graphic nor audio".
Beyond that, maybe I plan to actually visually update the game ? You prefer to just judge for options I have opted out for a reason.
Anyway, at least my players understand how to play my games and have fun playing it, right ? Can't say that to everyone.
Have a nice day
Your game is nice! A little bit more "game feel" like: blinking enemies after they get hit or blood explosion after death will make it perfect!
Good job! Don't listen to haters!
I plan to visually enhance the game, but right now I'm on a potato computer so I can't really do what I'd like to do. But I'll totally do it because it will be fun !
For me, the dificulty increazed too much when zombies become really fast on round 4/5 (don´t remember when exactly).
As programmer I know your feelings, and it´s a fancy game. Good job :D
The upgrades are meaningful, and don't feel badly balanced. I tried to go full damage with little care are for my speed nor my health, but I quickly regretted it :p
I think I'm gonna keep your game on my PC for a little while. It's just so much fun, I would like to see additional stats or cards being added to the game, with more enemies. Great job ;)
