The ship is hard to control, but I feel that adds to the fun and mood of the game. I loved it :)

Great game! Couldn't play it with sounds yet thou :(
The ship is indeed quite hard to control, but I loved the mood, artstyle and specially the UI, it's gorgeous.
Well done!

@ianlux definitely try it with sound if you get a chance! <3

Cool game! I loved the artstyle/UI, and the item desctiptions were funny. The only thing I would suggest would be the option to adjust mouse sensitivity/turn speed, because I had some trouble steering.

I liked the graphics, moving around in the spaceship was satisfying ! (you really want to see what is out there on those other planets, too bad we can't leave the arena xD )
The artyle was totally adapted and I liked the sound effects too !

This was pretty original, I haven't seen any other defence/space pilot games this jam.. My biggest complaint is how touchy the controls were though, I would move my mouse millimeters and the ship would go careening off

Fun game! I found the ship controls intuitive, I didn't have much trouble with it. I really like the art style, it brought back some good memories. :)

I wish I could play in fullscreen mode, though.

@nava Ask and ye shall receive. (It wasn't built with fullscreen in mind, but have fun.)

@hemlocksoames - Ha! UI gets a little wonky in full screen mode, but seems to be playable. Nice!

Awesome game!
Mood was well done, I really felt like a space pilot.
I especially liked the graphics. But the underlying mechanics are also motivating.

Played in fullscreen because in widowed i had problems with my mouse being stuck to always turn left.

This game is beatiful looking, and I love the sound design. But GOOD GOD, please fix the ship controls. I swear I had like 3 strokes over the course of the minutes I spent trying to make my brain understand that the y-controls were inverted, but the x-controls weren't. Please, you're game would be as good as my italian grandmothers lasagna if you would fix the controls. Thank you (also excellent game )

@jackson-makes-games - there's a already button on the main menu to invert the Y controls if you want!

As others have pointed out, the controls are wonky and the option to invert mouse Y axis would help

Otherwise, very nice twist on the asteroids game.

Some upgrades felt a bit useless tho, so this needs some tweaking, but all in all, it's a nice entry.

Interesting game, the ship controls were a bit wonky for me and it was frustrating not being able to aim properly. Good luck with future jams.

@mcovert oh, true. Somehow I've missed it :)

I've played it again and I was able to reach much further
But the ship rotates so slowly that I was _barely_ able to see the anomaly. And in no way to shoot it. :/

The first game in the style of 3D in 2D that I saw on this LD. I like it! The graphics are great!!

The idea is pretty cool - a 3D remake of asteroid, however there are some problems with such idea, one is that in the original game, the asteroids wrap around the level through boundaries, which in this case we don't see, not only that but rotating is much slower as well which makes it much harder to play the game.

On the other hand those are more of minor issues, the game would be even more fun with faster and more resoponsive movement.
Good job on the game though!

Loved the game. The graphics style is great and fit perfectly the game. I had hard time to manage the ship movement, but when I became familiar with the controls I really enjoyed playing. good job.

great little game! Reminded me of the old Atari days and Starfox! The mouse control was really sensitive. Perhaps adding some delta time or lerp would work well. Nice job guys!

A very good game you have here. I think to make it more challenging would be to add more obstacles for the player to the dodge, even at the beginning of the game.

The 3D perspective was cool. I found it annoying that your shots went off target if you don't buy an upgrade.

Great work! I love the selection of upgrades, the way the game starts easy and then gets more difficult (most game jam entries fall down hard on that basic concept). I had some issues with the controls, mostly with the mouse capture being kind of sporadic (so the pointer would end up off the window and the mouse controls would stop working). With the fire rate being so low, some kind of recharge indicator would've been nice. Also, I really think the scrap should be visible on the radar. But really good overall.

Many others have said it already, but great graphical style! The controls were a touch sensitive, but I just decreased the sensitivity on my mouse

I really appreciated how you filled the skybox with interesting art! It made the game world feel more real, and I wanted to fly out to the space station / visit the black hole! I thought the music was a bit epic for cleaning up space junk, but I liked the tracks nonetheless (who am I to complain anyways? we didn't even get to music on my game). I also liked how the shop items were randomized, giving the game more replay value. Good game!

A Challenging game! A sensitive control(steering) makes it hard to catch up at the very beginning but it may be too hardcore to some of players. And the cooldown of firing seems a bit long, speed up a little may make the game pace better(?)
