Hi! I just played Core Defender. While simple, it seems well made. The difficulty ramps up quick! I liked the environment (the cubes bouncing up and down)...I thought they were a simple but nice touch. Good work!

Atmosphere was good, especially the cubes on the side. The controls could have had more ease and the laser could have been faster, but that's just my opinion. Nice game.

At one point about 50 seconds there is a huge difficulty spike that is basically unwinnable, but other than that its really fun!

Pretty good. Found it fun to play and it fits the theme quite nicely. I would maybe make the player stand out from the background more, because sometimes it was hard to get pickups , but still fun

Slick looking, and effective 3D in a 2D game, although the enemy ships didn't quite fit the style of the other art. Controls were a little wonky. It was never worth going for the power dropped at the top. I wasn't clear on the nature of all the powerups - blue restored core power, yellow was rapid fire. The difficulty ramped up sooo much at about 48-50 seconds, which was a little frustrating. Cool-looking, appropriate sounds, nice work.

Fun little concept. Just like many others, I died after 50-something seconds, when I was suddenly overwhelmed by the huge wave of enemies. The blue color in the darkness was a bit hard on the eyes. Overall, it's not bad.

The shape of your ship and the way the input works was quite confusing.
I expected to rotate and move forwards, instead of the orthogonal directions.
As soon as I started picking up stuff I got lost in the dark :)
Cool mood!
I enjoyed it!

Cool game. Simple and Fun.Good lighting effects to set the mood. But very unbalanced, at about 50-60 seconds you will always die, no matter how good or bad you have played. Also I dont get what the blue powerup, so I think you should say somewhere what it does.

I like the fact that your lights, get dimmer as you run out of power, but when you get really low power you I can't see the enemies, you should be able to see the enemies even when you almost dont have power

Good game.
Controls feel slightly off, but I can't exactly tell how to fix them.

Also when the number of powerups is big, the game seem to have some performance issues...Not sure if that is lighting or object spawning problem.

I like it. The graphics and overall feel of the game is really well executed. Would appreciate having the timer on the screen while playing to see how I was doing.

It got hard really quickly. Good controls and good music. Great job. :)

Pretty simple gameplay, but well made overall with exceptional graphics for ld!

Just cause it happened to see the comment above me... @rothens91, how can WASD and Mouse be considered weird controls..? -_-

Nice lighting! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiayEbHjWUc
