Abstract

Idle Game + Rhythm Game, How can they be possibly merged? One requires your full attention while the other requires as little from you as possible. Well, try it out, it's not the best idle game, nor the best rhythm game but we're proud of this zombified result.

Nice idea. You take the theme very well

This is a pretty interesting idea, and I think you can expand on this concept further. Maybe you could have multiple songs and the player would have to quickly decide on which upgrades to purchase in the downtime between them.
I also think there should be some sort of visual/audio feedback for when you hit the notes, and the timing should be a bit stricter.

@Anonymous, Thanks for your feedback! Yep you’re 100% right, this was my first attempt at both a rythmic and an idle game, so for me personally I feel like I’ve missed the mark in terms of design. That being said, the music has nothing to do with the Rythym portion of the game. Where the circly indicators are the only mechanic that affect the rythym portion of the game which in turn affect the “Star Points”.

The music is so peaceful and addicted, in the end, I already know the rhythm, nicely made!

Is this an endless game?

@starlin, technically it should end at 999z999 (thats.... ~999 x 10^93 i think if i did the maths right just now, unless theres a bug with huge numbers that isn't the counter) so yeah... lets just say its infinite.

Love the idea. Background music doesn't really seem to correspond to the music, which makes timing clicks hard, even with the visuals. Other than that, it's a cute clicker with some nice art and soothing music.

The is a neat jam game you made there, I enjoyed playing it. Maybe it just lacks some feedbacks but it was not a problem for me, but I really like the aesthetics and the concept is well executed.

Interesting idea, but I feel like I mostly played a cookie clicker and the rhythm part of the game didn't really come to fruition all that much. Some audio feedback for clicking would have helped.

Visually it looks pretty solid. Along with the music I feel soothed and relaxed.

Nice work!

Music was nice and relaxing, but the clicks didn't seem to always line up with the song. Adding more feedback and you got a good mix of genres here.

Took me a second to get a hang of it, but I liked it. It's a bit strange how when you have more than 10,000 points, it shows as 10K 000.

Nice work!

Super nice concept, the UI is a little too detached from the overall style of the egg, but nonetheless, the game is very enjoyable and reminded me of the endless hours playing tamagotchi and guitar hero :)

p.s. GORGEOUS MUSIC! :D

Thanks everybody for commenting @sidewalksleeper that's a weird concession i had to live with for the game to transition nicely into big numbers (ie, 999,000,000,000,000 = 999T000). @hasuprobe i know right! the guy's amazing, feel free to check his soundcloud, he's a random guy i found his great free music that we basically chucked it in-game and sent him a message after the fact. The music has nothing of meaning to the mechanics like in typical musical rhythm games, we've opted for a more visual rhythm with the circle mechanic.

@wrexialmt Oh yeah, I could tell that it was concession. And to be honest, it didn't bother me too much. The game's fun to play, and that's all that matters :)

I think there should have been more of a detriment to clicking when not on the rhythm. Overall a very nice and relaxing game. :)

Unfortunately, the lack of feedback on the rhythm portion lead me to learn that the best way to play is just spam spacebar. You get points for the near misses as well as the perfects. Normally a rhythm game would remove the pulses in order so this kind of thing doesn't happen. Also the ability to farm via the clicker shortly removes the need to play the rhythm game. Some clickers use the clicking part as a temporary bonus to the auto farm to keep it relevant.

I definitely think this has plenty of potential. I really like the virtual pet/collectable aspect, even though there's not too much showing. Also the music was lovely and I haven't gotten tired of it yet despite it looping while I write this.

I'm a big fan of incrementals so I had a clickbot on hand to play with. Similar to @Forest I just used it to mash and get points since you can hit a pulse multiple times. I think a collection aspect does go with just about anything, and even though the gameplay ended up being straightforward for me, I still kept playing just to see what was behind those silhouettes.

The music wasn't working on the webgl version. I was able to get quite a few perfects, so kudos for the visual cues.
