Two Minutes of Fame by ZanyG

[raw]
made by ZanyG for LD 44 (COMPO)

Thesedays, it's difficult to get a foothold in the social media market. It seems the only possible method that rakes in the cash is a series of increasingly dangerous stunts. Of course, this is easy to obtain with a full team of editors, but what about if you only have two minutes of your life remaining?

In that case, you'd have to perform those stunts for real... and so your life, or death, would be your currency.

I used to be a social medial user and then I took an arrow in the knee.

Really nice art, and the music is really cool too! I would have liked a prompt on the start screen to tell me how to start (unless I missed it). Overall, is a really cool game, good job!

I love how there are old people being run over all the time. Hilarious! And the artwork is really pretty!

Fun and funny at the same time! I like the humorous take on social media, which also fits the theme pretty well. The game isn't working well on Firefox though: the wolves weren't moving and I was unable to pick up items. Had to use Chromium for the whole experience.

@dinosire No prompt on the start screen, but I listed it in the controls section of the itch.io page. I was really worried about the music - I composed four different tracks before settling on the final two, so it's nice to hear that they aren't so bad.

I really like the concept for this game. Having to find the best places to take selfies for maximum profits is a unique form of gameplay. I like how wacky the game could be, with people randomly getting run over in the middle of the road. I will say that there was a lack of visual/audio feedback. It wasn't always clear if I was doing the right thing or not. Better feedback would give player a better idea of what is a good/bad selfie so that they could improve their play. That issue aside, I'd say that I enjoyed my time playing this game. Nice work!

Music was a little loud, at least for me, but they are really nice!

The idea was clever and I had fun, but it lacks some polishing to the user feedbacks:things happen and you don't have a clear audio/visual feedback.

I liked the graphics and the overall experience is positive

I enjoyed the random stuff that was happening but I had no idea how to play the game. Good job on the funny stuff though :D

There's actually a lot more going on in the game which was an unexpected bonus. Funny take on the theme, other's lives are your currency. Well done!

Found it confusing what to do. Music was very loud but great. Visuals where well done too. No clue what I have to do, ingame tutorial is missing for me.

**Edit:** Missed the Introduction part on itch (should be ingame in the next game, lesson we already learned :D at least put the introduction to the entry page as well). I like the concept and the black humor of this. I'm not sure how many photo-spots there where 'cause it was hard to spot whats going on sometimes.

Good job on the game. I really like the selling yourself out for social media concept and I felt like it worked well. The graphics were nice and the music was catchy. I did feel like it was difficult to tell what was happening sometimes.
