MenuScreen.pngPipBloodDealer.pngOvercooked.pngPipComingForYou.png Your dream to become a baker has finally come true! Except you made a deal with a demon to do it.
Sell delicious baked goods or die trying.

---How To Play---

Sign the contract by left-clicking on "SIGN HERE" and pressing enter or tapping away.

You may also type in your name if you'd like.

Left-click the dough buttons on the bottom left corner to buy dough. (Do not drag the buttons.)

Left-click and drag the purchased dough into the oven to bake them.

Drag the dough onto the display cases on the left to attract customers who might want to buy your dough.

Your life is a time and currency resource that must be replenished by customers purchasing your dough.

Buying a dough raises its price. However all the dough prices will slowly decrease over time.

Try to survive for as long as possible!

---Creator's Notes---

This was my first ever Ludum Dare submission and I'd never finished a game before. So I'm grateful for the experience, because Ludum Dare forced me to narrow down the scope of the game so that I could complete it!

All graphics (except the HP meter bar is a Unity default asset and the font used is not mine) were drawn by me, all coding done by me during the Jam, and there is only one song in the game(when you die), made by my friend JonnyBenny. In hindsight, I regret not putting in free audio/music into the game. I hope you enjoy anyway. :3 <3

Could do with more player feedback like music and little flurishes like when the customers take the food, it could pop up above their heads etc etc but awesome game overall <3

This review is only for the jam version:

The art style was really clean and polished. Good job there. I felt like the gameplay was on-theme, but content-light. By introducing new challenges and goals, you could potentially make an interesting gameplay loop. But of course, I recognize that there's only so much that you can do in a weekend, and this is a good effort. Nice work.

This is such a cute game!! Please change the links to have "dl=1" at the end so that it downloads right away when clicked from the Dropbox link!

I got audio only when I lost (just letting you know in case that's not intentional).

This game plays pretty well. I didn't realize that customers could buy stuff from the spaces behind the display platters at first, so I only ever had 3 baked goods out at once. The pizzas seem to be in a weird place balance-wise. I definitely killed myself somehow by buying too much.

Overall, it plays well. I would have loved some audio to really put the cherry on top. Nice work!

Edit: I didn't realize you opted out of audio until after I wrote this. Disregard that part of my comment :)

Really cute, loved the art and really fun, having multiple buns in the oven at the same time somehow feels super cosy despite your life slowly being sucked away :)

That art is very cute, I was also a bit surprised by that small demon to close up on me, and that face when you die xD

The game in its concept and realization feels very well done, but first customer takes too much time to come whereas others rush in in a great number, there should be some curve imo.

Even simple sounds from freesound.org would make this game just so much more interesting combined with the graphics.

There is a bug when someone takes the sandwich but time runs out you see the bar fill up but still die after a second, and finally the life should decrease just a bit slower or customers choose faster to compensate for that.

Overall a very strong entry and made me smile here and there !

I enjoyed playing the game, it was quite fun. The art was so cute and it went well together with the "I am going to take your soul" pressure that you have. After first time dying, i fugured out how to play and then stayed alive for like 12 minutes untill i accidentally pressed twice on buy and died xD

Technically i could play forever if the prices would never reach higher than the sell out price.
Otherwise i really love the game, the only thing missing is the music and audio. I understand you had not time, i really wish there would be something though D: (you could have taken some free music and referenced the authors, i think that would have been better than nothing, but since you opted out of audio i won't rate you on it)

I would love to see your future games including Ludum Dare, if you have an itch.io, i will surely follow you for upcoming titles.
Good luck in your other games and continue the good job.

Funny game. I found the art very cute. I was very sad because there is no music.

Congratulations!

This was really cute! I played the jam version which seemed a little too slow-paced, I didn't feel like I really had to fight that hard to keep up with the time limit. I wonder if I would like the hard mode version more. The graphics and animations were adorable!

(This is a review of the original jam version) This was such a cute and fun little entry! The gameplay, while simple and not all that innovative, was still super addicting and offered up a nice challenge. I did feel like the characters that came to purchase your goods went a little to slowly, i died with my shelves fully stocked and nobody bought anything. It fits the theme perfectly- it is incorporated in a simple way, but a way that is easily recognizable as the theme and works nicely with the gameplay without feeling forced, like it was built around the theme rather than being stuffed into it. However, I think that where this game shines is its graphics. Everything was so cutesy and fluffy and generally pleasant to look at, which I think gave it a sense of personality and charm that isn't too common in jam games. I especially loved the little duck-demon character that taught you the basics and then peeked out from behind the furnace later into the game, and the characters who came to purchase your pastries were nice too. The game definitely has a sense of humor- from the wacky semi-jumpscare in the intro cutscene, to the guide apologetically saying that he would need to take your blood every second, and even the way that he just smiled at the end of the death animation all made me smile. Overall, nicely done! I'd say this is a solid 4-star game!

Art and animations are awesome! Also the pacing of comedy in the beginning is on point, it was pretty funny. It's nice to see a distinct artistic vision. I guess everybody already wrote about the sound. For what it is it's a very solid entry!
