The Story

Once upon a time there was a world called “Marziphon”. One day a metheoride crushed the ground, and cursed all Marziphonians. Because of the curse, their nightmares became portals for magical creatures, ”Magicis Cadem” they called it. Magical Massacres. A Hundered years later, another event occured in Marziphon. A Mage called “Onnm” found a way to unlift this curse. The solution was a spell which he called “banisment of nightmares”, with the spell, nobody would ever see any nightmares, but there was a problem, most needed ingredeent for the spell was human blood. He gathered as many villagers as he can and found the city of Intyham, with it, Onnm can gather blood and sacrifice some for all. After he casted the spell, Marziphon’s ground shattered and formed lots of rifts which are full of deamonic powers. He banished nightmares but called something more horrific. At the last sequance of banishment spell, a flying Demon appeared on the sky, he took Onnm and disappeared.

After the disappearence of Onnm, the folk of Intyham re-forged Onnm’s staff and shaped as solid magical stones. Then they build a huge rapmart which defended all Intyham from the demon itself.

i absolutely adore the soundtrack and art! the graphics look like some pixel art metal cover, and i like the minimalistic use of trap, which was refreshing for the genre.

the backstory was amazing and i wish i could have seen it being talked about more in the game itself, perhaps with an opening cutscene.

the gameplay wasnt the most exciting but the atmosphere made up for it.
awesome work!!

I like idea of hero mage to fight, or shield himself with villager. Unfortunately i didnt have feeling that in inevitable to sacrifice them.
Also i didnt know what is game goal. I have reached castle one day before I would quit game. Perhaps some more inter level story would help, or even decision to sacrifice people to have less enemies ahead, similar to that shortcut gate

@drlizard Thanks for your review. We still in development and your feed back is important for us. 72 hours is not enough for our story to become a game.

The music especially metal music is really coolest thing I've met in Ludum Dare 43 for now. I suggest you destroying bullet after it fly out of screen because I've kill enemies before met them by keeping pressing Space.

@hangacs Yep, thanks for the feed back. As a team we also really liked our enrivomet matches with bacground music actually. But when you guys said this it's really priceless, we really proud of it thanks. We probably will fix the bullet thing when we release a hotfix, keep in touch <3

I like the idea and the mood and music are fantastic, but I wish there was more going on with the gameplay or story, since most of the game is spent holding D while tapping space. The choices in-between were interesting but maybe some dialogue or events during the walking could've helped.

@hakita it is our first game and we didnt wanted to create something that we cant be able to. You are right about these holding D and shooting thats kinda boring thing to do. What we wanted to create is the story of the game but we kinda moved away from because of the 72 hours of creation we will try to improve gameplay and mechanics on this game with story thanks for your gentle comment appriciated <3

@unplugred thank you for your comment on our game ! We will definetly feed the art with the story, we have too many ideas to write down, eliminate and put on the gameplay but we'll get there soon.

We designed each level carefully in terms of art and soundtrack. We created everything by ourselves and it was our first game ever for each person in the group. So the comments are making us feel excited to work more and more on our game and future games! Thanks to everyone for reviews.

The concept is good but I felt like the level design and balancing could be improved. There was net enough ennemies and they were too strong. The art and sound is nice. I liked that the "villager" curency is used as life and as a way to get shorcuts. Good work !

@jonathan-lorenz really appriciated man. thank you for your kind comment we tryed to make some goodwill points with sacrifice or saving people and that was gonna effect your score in the end but we ended up with finishing game without score. That was our first Game and Game jam as a team. We are looking forward to make some progress about enemys and levels.
