Theme: Sacrifices must be made.

Idea: Turn-Based Resource Management Game - Submarine, all abilities use energy, can SACRIFICE (trade) health for energy

Roles: @Jickamangah - Game Designer, UI Designer/Producer, Audio Designer/Producer, Character Sprites | @NotLivingPool - Game Designer, Programmer, Producer/Compiler, Team carry | @Kintama45 - Game Designer, Character Designer, Mechanics Designer, Backdrop, Idea Origin| Solon - Tester

Instructions: You are facing four soviet units: The scout, the heavy hitter, the tank and the final boss. You have these tools in your trusty submarine to help you survive:

EP=Energy Points HP=Health Points DMG=Damage

-Torpedo (-10EP, 7DMG) | -Guns (-5EP, 3DMG) | -Flak (-2EP, 2DMG) | -Rest (+4HP) | -Sacrifice health for energy ( -1HP, +2EP | -3HP, +5EP | -7HP, +10EP)

IMPORTANT LAUNCH INFORMATION: We aren't software designers, so we did not create the proportions perfect for every setting. So, when launching the game you MUST set these settings:

@aleksander I'm really sorry, none of the people in our team owns a windows computer, so there's no way to find out what the issue might be. Instead, we will try to upload a webGL for the browser

@jickamangah when you create Windows game in unity it is build in one folder and you have to share this folder

@aleksander Oh really? It doesn't matter now though because I think we can all agree that WebGL is much more convenient than having to download something

@aleksander @paperjack The game now also being supported on WebGL, I'm sorry that it still does not work on windows, but WebGL should do good enough. Some browsers sometimes do not support WebGL, so if that problem occurs to you then use another browser, even if it means that you have to use Internet Explorer.

The metal door transitions are wonderful and add a lot to the mood of the game. I enjoyed it, but I found I could not get past the third ship :ship:

@dazzumbledor Thanks for the comment! The game is indeed quite hard, but we tested it a few times and beat it a couple of times as well, but losing in the majority of the time. This game also has more and more luck when the game progresses, which makes it more fun and also harder, maybe we made it too hard to the point where it was not fun, I don't think so though.

I had trouble figuring out how to play it and what was happening. Maybe if there were more clear feedback as to what happens whey I push the buttons, but the art and music were great.

Finally I played your game and I have to tell you that it is brilliant. I would play this all time, really. However I see some problems with balance. I quickly found a tactic: many time click rest and then when I have enough amount of hp and ep I attack, but that didn't work all time. Probably on fourth enemy it stoped working. You should work a little time on design and then you can seamlessly launch it on android.

I'll parrot what others said, I liked the metal door transitions and especially that sound effect. I'm gonna bang cooking pots for my next Ludum Dare, this I swear! :)

@aleksander The first round is supposed to be an easy one that lets you spam rest to heal up, it is just a tutorial, then the rest is a lot of luck but still requires strategy.

@nanocube75 try using the default browsers for your OS (Safari, IE), they usually can run WebGL
