Stand Clear, Doors Closing by shockeye

[raw]
made by shockeye for LD 41 (JAM)

This is a Battle-Royale/Single Player Physics Puzzler.

Or it would be if I had time to add the puzzles.

Find the Placeholder Object of Destiny in the centre of the maze before Lock Down. Screenshot.png

WASD and mouse. ESC to pause game or quit from main menu.

Minimap: green is safe, orange is danger, red is locked out.

Note:

There is now a post-jam bug fixed version with mouse locked, as suggested by Joe Zabriskie in the comments.

I see a good solid foundation right here. Might want to lock the mouse to the screen, mine was tracking into my second monitor. Obviously there's more you want to add, but my suggestions beyond the obvious are to add door indicators for the map so I can plan my route better, give a bit more warning on what rooms are safe, and maybe add some other indicator as to where to go.

Nice work putting this together!

Thanks for feed back.
Need to fix that mouse.
If I'd had time there was going to be warning lighting in rooms about to lock. As it is you have to use the mini-map, which I guess isn't as clear. I should have put in a compass as well.

It was quite simple to play. Interesting idea but it's highly unfinished version.

I don't really get what is the Battle Royale element of this game, but running around in this maze was actually pretty fun.

It took me a few tries to figure out where I was trying to go (didn't notice the gold block at first), so I was just running around wildly. After I started using the shrinking map to hone in on the block, I finally got the rhythm of the game. My only critique would be not ending the level immediately after winning or losing, because you cut off the audio cue you had there.
