Fulfill your dream of being an extraterrestial civilization with only one goal in mind - Abduct as many people as possible!

20190429153149_1.jpg

Control an alien spaceship [WASD] and use your tractor beam (to use it, switch your ship to 'Abduction Mode' first [Tab] and then hold [RMB]) to 'attract' humans.

At the same time watch out for security turrets shooting rockets at you, if your energy falls to zero, it's game over.

If you can manage to stay alive on Earth for 60 seconds, then you can go back to your space garage and trade caught people for power-ups or just repair your ship.

PS: No audio this time (that's for better I guess). I didn't even bother about it, sorry.

@mrwillowb No wonder why, if the game is broken in WebGL version... Didn't test it before, my fault. Gonna remove it for now and leave only Windows version.

Game is sadly broken (traktorbeam). But gameplay and handling are easy to guess and work smooth. The 3D Art is very good aswell.

@fabian-pohl Huh, I literally fixed it this morning. Maybe I didn't make it clear enough how it works, did you try using it after changing UFO's mode (pressing Tab)?

Nice idea, web version working ok although the scrolling code is glitchy at the edges of the map.

Seemed to work just fine for me on the HTML version.

I found it difficult to notice when I was being attacked though while using the tractor beam. If there was more time I figure a little audio signal would've been perfect for that. Repairing the ship is a bit prohibitive when the cost scaled with the amount of damage taken. It might help the game flow a bit to have a 1 cost repair and a full repair option.

The visuals and user interface in this game a quite good. The dock for the shop screen is a nice touch. Also, the people looked like delicious freezer pops, and I approve of that.

It's fun, good job!

It's a nice take on the theme, but honestly I found the gameplay to be rather boring. Good try though.

That was a nice little game! Had fun abducting people and dodging towers. It got way more fun when I realized I could hide from the towers by hiding between buildings, adding some unique strategy to abducting people. I wish the upgrades had a little more impact, but all in all it's a solid game! Well done.

I got the web version to work just fine. I seemed to hit a bug after upgrading the tractr beam a few times, where i could no longer abduct anyone.

Things I liked:
*the style of the tracor beam in both modes was a cool visual
*The countdown timer and lock on indicator gives you some strategy to avoid getting fired upon.

Improvement ideas:

* Some sort of indicator when you are in danger of taking damage
* the ability to dodge missles. (It seems like they are unavoidable once they fire.

Really nice concept and execution! I think I eventually figured out the lock-on timer, but in later levels I had a hard time avoiding missiles because there were so many turrets relative to the number of people.

I especially enjoyed the camera angle for the zoomed-in traction beam and how you could still see the sides of the ship animate as it stopped. Wish I had more to add, but just an overall well done job!

A nice idea, but I found it a bit clunky having to switch into a different mode to abduct people. I feel it would be more fun to just have it on a button press so you can react quicker while dodging the incoming missiles.

Good job! I'm not a huge fan of having to change modes, but everything works well.
