The Million Dollars Insurance by Tigeryue

[raw]
made by Tigeryue for LD 44 (JAM)

This is Game full of neta contents. The concept of currency is hard to express by mechanics, so we choose to avoid it. But the basic story is based on it.

All the Graphics and music is created by our team, special thanks to all my team member.

Maybe you will get stuck in some levels. Don't worry. open the pause menu and get some hint!

If you still can't understand, maybe sometime we will provide solutions to the whole game.

Hope you like the story and enjoy the gameplay.

Have Fun!

story:

I hoped that I could bring happiness to my family, but the cruel reality taught me a lesson

--not all the efforts pay off.

Now that I lost my job, the great burden was about to nibble away all my savings, which means my son would starve to death unless I could find a way to make more money.

So the only thing that could save my son is the $1'000'000 life insurance. Yeah, I know it's insurance fraud... but do I have other choices?

My life for $1'000'000, sounds like a deal.

‘This last act of sacrifice is mine!’

The puzzle is easy and very interesting and your ideas are novel. It's a small game which can bring happiness to me. Personnally, taking the concept of currency as $1,000,000 is advisable but not very suitable to the theme.

That's a very humours puzzle game. Many internet memes included in the story, and the musics are superb. But you can still improve the interface with players. For example, highlight the interactable items on the scene.

If you add a little bit of interest in the background image, then there would be nothing to dig in:)

I don't know what objects in the scene can interact with each other. It's very uncomfortable. The game is very creative and the graphics are very good, but it doesn't seem to fit the theme very well

In general, it was very funny, I even laughed at many jokes, sometimes I didn’t know what to do, I went through the whole game and (it seems) 3-4 puzzles, I decided to be completely random, especially the closet puzzles, but the joke there was very cool)

Great game ! I could finish it totally, very good humor, some interesting puzzles, some I had to do randomly because I didn't get anything ^^ Really well done :)
(Maybe highligting what is interactable could help, idk)

The background of scene #1 seemed complicated so I don't know what to interact but others are OK. I love the funny but sad mood that this game brings to me especially after you finished all stages and the sad background music retains and replaces the original music (but the music restored after he gets job, perhaps it's a bug). All in all, nice work!

If the cursor changes on interactable things it will be really helpful, puzzles are interesting

I think I got the first level. It wasn't clear that I beat it. Then I couldn't get past level 2, even with the hint. It is not clear at all what objects in the environment you can interact with. The application of the theme is good, though.

Good idea, but it is really difficult to solve the puzzles. Love the art style and music. Overall a fine little LD game.

I think I didn't quite understand what to do. While I was clicking around, I really enjoyed the music though.
