Supermarket Blues by mightymarcus
It's no fun to work at a supermarket, neither is playing to work at a supermarket fun.

Game coded with the Haxe Toolkit (Haxe 3.4.4) and the OpenFL Framework (version 6.5.1)
The game was only tested on Windows10 and it worked in all major browsers. But I saw it on my friends computer. He has Linux and the framerate was only like 30FPS. So if its very slow, than that was not expected.

A really nice idea and fun mechanic!
I found myself trying really long to get faster, but I wanted to see the angry reaction and the game over condition, so I got myself fired ;)
Really nice game =)
But it really was a nice weekend. Should have used 10 hours more on that.
And now I go to the supermarket and drink another beer. :)
1. The fact that the "controls" are limited to a really small segment of the game view, really limits the player's view of whats happening around you. My suggestion would be scale the whole thing up and move it to a more central feel.
2. Audio cues are cool, but the visual change isn't "that obvious" especially when taking point 1 in consideration. We tricked this issue by making the "clients" have multiple very obvious distinct visual state and exposed the timer bar.
Also... sure sure that's a "blue candle" yes yes.... xD
Not really. ;) And your points are very comprehensible.
One thing I thought could improve is that the arrow indicators should be better integrated in the game and not just sit out at the far right coz I couldn't look at all the nice art and setting as I was too busy focusing on the keys.
I'm curious about the ratings ... :)
I think one thing they could have helped would have been to add a progression system. Maybe by starting with fewer items and thus giving the player a chance to learn the combinations for them.
Great entry!
Main goal of the game was to show, how unpleasant it is to make that job. I wanted to make something critical about our society. I saw one man playing. He laughed. :)
