Dungeon Of Steel is a Dungeon Crawler with increasing difficulty, and a bit of humor!

Fight your way through the Dungeon of Steel, Find new weapons.

New weapons = More Strength and Firepower.

More Strength and Firepower = Harder Difficulty. Simple formula, eh?

Go room to room fighting Zombies with your weapons, hack and slash, rip and tear >: D

When the difficulty changes, the Speed of the zombies, their HP, and the players walk speed change to make the game more difficult.

You can't skip a weapon, you must pick it up to progress >:D

How to play

Movement.. Very important, yeah? Well, It's the usual W, A, S, and D. Pretty cool huh?

Attacking.. Also very important, this is pretty simple, Press or hold Left Click (Holding works better), Use your mouse to change what the player is looking at.

Interacting with things.. You walk over the item/object, and press E!

Healing.. You have 2 kinds of health potions, Normal (+1 HP) and Strong (+2 HP), you press Q to switch between the two (the UI at the top-left will show which one you have selected and your weapon), Press Space to use the selected one.

Your goal is to survive the Dungeon of Steel, by collecting weapons! But beware, the more damage you do, the worse the game gets (Difficulty gets harder). Some weapons have special abilites, these activate automatically for you, and will help you survive..

My second time participating in LD!

I don't know if taking all the equipement was a bad idea but enemies were really strong >.<.
Overall, it was a great game and the last boss was hard to beat.

@xwilarg Someone else has told me this as well, I've made a quick update to fix the difficulty issues since I had some time left. Thanks for playing and for your feedback!

Really great man. Good work within 3 days. Reminded me of knightfall! It seemed a game where you often die, even before you get gear etc. The boss mechanic at the end was nice and well executed.

Great work on this steel! It was a lot of fun running around and reading all the item descriptions was great :D The mechanic for blowing up enemies was just great and the boss battle was a really interesting one. Great job and keep on improving like you are, you're gonna be making awesome games before you know it!

That was super fun. I love playing top down dungeon games.

When I figured out you could just circle and strafe the enemies, it became kind of one-dimensional but awesome nonetheless! The battle axe's special effect at the end was a nice touch!

had fun, but didn't feel like it was much of a challenge up until the boss fight. kinda wish there had been more types of enemies. i did enjoy the descriptions of the items, though :)

I had some difficult being able to beat anything! This game is hard! XD But I liked the graphics, the menus, I think everything feels good, and well done, resources were well balanced to meet ludum dare deadline. Great stuff, please iterate on this design!

This is a pretty fun entry, hacking and slashing my way through your steel dungeon. I noticed sometimes picking up potions didn't actually add them to my inventory. The How-To-Play screen had a lot more text on it than necessary which meant I just started playing without learning more.

Visually it's pretty basic, which isn't a bad thing, but the floors and walls look a little too similar. A little less grey and more colour would also be my preference. I am glad you added unlimited lives - without it I don't think I could've lasted until the end.

Good job!

Fuck I was mad every time I didn't get a cool powerup to my weapon for the first 10 weapons. The beginning weapons are all pretty samey, but it's p worth it when the powerup weapons later-in are unique and sweet.
The theme didn't work so well for me- as the difficulty change was pretty minimal and there being plentiful healing drops.
Gameplay was enjoyable tho and I had a p good time.

Very nice little game, everything is really polished! Only thing I didn't like was the swinging animation when attacking, it didn't feel that smooth. Otherwise very well done, really enjoyed playing it :)
