You are in purgatory, the only way out is to collect souls. You can channel your soul to fire soul shards.

Controlles: wasd keys = move left mb = shoot 1, 2, 3 Key = change shards (bullets)

The first shard goes threw eniemies, but is weak. The second shard hits like a truck and the third shard is slow, but explodes. You shard is also your hp, if you have not shard left you die in one hit

Music: background music was made with an rusty old sheet puncher (I reversed the sound) and a Piano in Fl studio​

bugfix when shooting enemie with 2nd weapon game freezes

There's a strange atmosphere in this game, i like the mood. Good job!

Playing on a french keyboard I don't have WASD keys but ZQSD, making it difficult to play.

I like the ape's out vibe in the way you get surprised by the enemies ... thought it would be easy because enemies stop when you target, but it seems I died quite a lot lol

game sound is completely bad programming is good graphics are normal. Improve sound effect and add background sound.

Visually it looks pretty cool, sounds are fun. Was I supposed to die if I use up all the shards? That would fit the theme better.

It's pretty basic. Not a lot to say about it, would have been slightly better with a final boss.

quite interesting little game, i think it could become something cool if you invest more time into it
and why time stops when character casting his spell?

Interesting take on the twinstick shooter - world freeze when shooting is a bit weird (not sure if its a bug or intentional, as it was on all weapons for me not just the second one) and makes things a little easy.

The LoS visualisation is very subtle, but a nice effect.

Was slightly disapointed I didn't get the boss fight I was expecting at the end... but hey, compo entry, I know how these things go, I figure the abrupt end was that contest deadline hitting.

@korteh @mrnyarlathotep first the freez was a bug, but because of time constrains and I thought it gives spells weight, power its a feature now

@chili-turtle now it just pauses the game, you can add weight to casting by freezing only player

@chili-turtle The different projectiles were fun when I got them to work. Sometimes I would just get one-shotted and it would be frustrating, but nice work, especially for 48 hours!!

It was pretty fun. Liked shadow system. Sounds was very fun)

But can't finish the game. Is this possible?

I just kinda uhhhh... walked around all the enemies. I also didn't find use for more than one weapon when you can round them all up and fire one bullet to kill (most) enemies right in a row. Otherwise good job!
