Sacrificial Sam by TinyMushroom
Sacrificial Sam is here to save the day, no matter the costs! Are you ready to be a hero? Innocent bystanders are scattered throughout a city overrun by machines, and it is up to you to help them get out alive.
Controls:

- Jump then ↑ - fly
- Move → or ← and press Z - dash

A Metroidvania put on its head, Sacrificial Sam takes away the world and mechanics as you progress. It was created using Godot in 48 hours for the Ludum Dare 43 compo (Theme: Sacrifices Must Be Made). Art created by me.
Thanks to Tomas Pettersson for the awesome tool sfxr, which generated the game's sound effects.

THe gameplay is a classical platformer, which is pretty satisfying with a great addition of features including the theme in a good way.
Great job :-)
i ran the exe on windows, it gave me a blank black rectangle for a split second then disappeared, never to be heard from again
@shieldgenerator7 I fixed the Windows build, thank you for letting me know!
I finished it with talking to everyone.
I like that you lose skills every time you talk to a person, however you don't know which skill you lose after you talked to them.
Level design is great!
There was one level where I had problems with an invisible wall, but other than that the platforming was acceptable.
Despite all the problems I ran into, I ended up enjoying it once I got past the frustrating parts. There were some parts where it required too much of a precise jump and the instructions didn't properly convey that you had to already be pressing the arrow keys when you pressed Z.
Also, the Web GL build doesn't show the whole level for me:

Overall very fun and I like that you have a set ability that gets lost each time because it's easier to guarantee the player will be able to continue the rest of the game.
For the issue with the Web GL build, were you running the game in full screen? It seems like that may be a requirement. If you ran into the issue while in full screen, which browser did you use?
A ture hero always smiles in the face of adversity.
ps. I think the hero might got naked when the lady wants his blue suit. But, he wear a black Tshirt and pants instead. Cool.
And that dash description makes more sense now
I loved how you could curl into a ball and roll around. Flying was a little tricky, though.
