Nice concept. I think you forget to remove the test message saying "This is a test message Right click to dismiss it" Otherwise everthing is good

@Sarwin That was left there to teach the player to look there for messages and that those messages can be dismissed.

I liked this quite a bit. It is a clever combination of both card game and worker placement, which is a game type that I am a fan of. It's just the theme I hope, but the first thing I did was sacrifice a newborn. I was curious. Having an expiration date on your workers is a nice idea. Good job!

I keep forgetting what each place does. Seems you could keep the labels on there instead of making it a separate screen. The concept makes sense, but it's still really difficult, my village does not do very well at all :cat:

I enjoyed this game and liked the card/worker placement game framework you've made. Well done on putting it in the browser. Therapeutic music was helping me keep playing. I agree with @khaotom I needed labels to help me and so couldn't work out best strategy but it was a neat game engine - one that could be reused. Well done - will check out your code.

I spent some time to understand what should I do in the game!
I liked most the way the player has to control the population so the community may grow healthy!
Maybe putting some faces on the cards could illustrate better and create a stronger bond between player and characters!

Hmm, I wasn't sure how not to make my villagers die of hunger, even though I put several on the job. Do sacrifices help with food production? There's potential for a fairly interesting card game with some added depth and cleared links between events.

Interesting game, had a little difficult time figuring out the game mechanics, but on the 2nd go i was mostly good. Maybe you should keep the tutorial text that shows under buildings in the main game as well, also would have liked some more info on how certain gameplay mechanics worked, like the leader for example.
I made it to year 31. Seems like the villages doom is kind a inevitable.

Made it to year 171 because I had to get off the game. Epic gamer moment. Would be nice if the rules were explained better though.

I liked the concept, but I didn't get very far, as I wasn't completely sure how things were affected by placing cards in different slots.
