Cool concept! The challenge amps up; fun play through.

Thanks for the feedback, Potato! I've increased the move speed for the ball (And with an hour and a half to spare!)

I really felt like I was getting more powerful and whole as I played the game. The right sound FX and music changes would have really drove it home!

Made it out intact! The changes in maneuverability as you collect parts was neat. Checkpoints were appreciated and seemed well placed. I never had far to travel after restarting. Kept me intent on getting to the next spot, and when I escaped without being fully assembled, I just had to go back and collect the rest of the parts. Glad I did!

Joshua, Sound FX and Music were the next thing on my to-do list, but time didn't allow. Thank you for your response!

IRWatts, Thank you for the awesome review, and for your persistence. Great work! I had a blast building this game.

Checkpoints were VERY appreciated. I too didn't realize there were more parts until I escaped without them all.

I think I missed the easter egg. :(

There appears to be two ways to escape, but I couldn't get back to the first one where you fly strait up to escape. I kept hitting the spikes (with the legs he is a bit jumpy).

Oh, maybe the easter egg was in the room before you escape completed? I took an extra one with me. That was fun.

Boblemy. Thank you for your input! Once you have the arms, the earlier escape is blocked off and you are locked in to the harder path of completing the game. I think he may mean the area by the final exit.

At first I thought its something like old mobile game called bounce. But after obtaining some parts its start to feel different. I felt myself as a helicopter pilot haha. That's a very strange game, but I really like it for some reason, mechanics are very catchy, I think with some polishing and more levels it can be a really good pain-sim like "I wanna be the boshi" or Getting Over It.

The concept is great, counterintuitively the parts make the game so much more difficult. And its nice to know many bots failed where I might have succeeded.

One major change would be that once you escape, if you don't have all of the parts it just lets you go right back in rather than starting over.

I'm not a fan of the feel of the controls and it felt very kazio. I don't know if that's what you were going for though. It was just the perfect length and it enticed me enough to see it through to the end with all parts.

@captainweeaboo Thank you for your feedback. Any comparison to those titles is well-received.

@owl-and-jackalope Thank you. For the jam, I wanted to have an "easy" mode and a "hard" mode so anyone could complete the game, but those who liked the challenge had something to sink their teeth into.

@papercookies Thank you for the feedback on the controls. Certainly something I'd look to improve in the future! I'm glad you found the length appropriate.

The first part before i had the hover thing were the hardest part. I appreciated how you hinted at bigger story implications with all the robot heads in-game without really being too on the nose about it. As others have said, sfx and music can make or break a game so I suggest you look into it if you want to keep working on this game.

Keep up the good work! Cheers.

@icegold Thank you for playing, and for noticing the narrative implications.

Fun concept, I might have find problems (like going out of the map and fall left and being stuck haha)
but its cool for a first entry :>

edit : it is not a collision bug (i guess ?) it was after the first stairs, like with the speed I could go where I think I shouldn't (up left)

@narudgi Thank you. Glad you liked it. Could you tell me where the collision issue occurred?

edit: Gotcha. The checkpoints were individual scenes so I didn't include that area in the rolling scene thinking it was unreachable. Thank you for catching that bug!

Good little game. I really like the idea of collecting the body parts, which give different abilities.

It got a little bit too hard for me though. After dying what felt like 100 times trying to get around some spikes i eventually gave up.

Adding the re-spawn near the tricky spikes was a good call though, otherwise i would have given up earlier than i did.

Nice and frustrating plat-former, with a very brutal movement mechanic - by this i mean once you've picked up the first piece of the armor your downwards acceleration is extremely high, making the maneuvering between that spice section towards the end close to impossible (Close to because i managed to do it).
Overall i enjoyed the experience and didn't find any bugs to report, so a solid entry in my opinion.
