jump_shadow.png During the Cold War era, two enemy factions trade their prisoners' lives: spies who were captured.

Hands and legs tied down, prisoners must find their way through the exchange area, having their movement ability limited. They must reach their ally faction, going as fast as they can!

Indeed, the factions might not be as honest as you think…

Update :

We did some bugfix according to some comments people posted (no gameplay modification). You can pick whichever game version you like both are available : in jam time version, and bugfix version. You can check the patchnote to make up your mind.

Bugfix patchnote :

  • The cinematic can now be skipped pressing "spacebar" even on the first time you see it.
  • Replaced reachable barbed wires' sprites with regular platforms' sprites. Barbed wires were misleading the idea of 'danger', which was not the case.
  • Applied pixel font to the texts missing it.
  • Fixed asymmetric platforms.
  • Title screen's music is now correctly looping.
  • Fixed the infinite rocket's sound bug.

Well done! I love the attention to detail (like the guy's head turning red the harder he tries to jump)! Great graphics and tons of fun to play.

@alessandro-corra @jestemstefan Really glad you liked it thank you!! Also we hope that you guys could try it with 2 players (if it wasn't the case), it's much funier than testing alone haha!

@5n1p3r-4r73m1s : yeah, we added a key event to skip the intro on the second run, when the game is finished once, but we should have do that on the first run too. Thanks for your return :)

I liked the mechanics, but the lack of a second player did not let me feel the game completely. I found some of the expressions of the funny characters hahaha :D. Good job!

I had a lot of fun playing with a friend on the smaller stages, but the larger stages were not as much fun. I liked the stunning mechanic and knocking each other around, and on the larger stages that doesn't happen as much. Really clever idea though.

I fully agree with BoxedMeatRevolution. Its fun to play on small arena, but on big you just need to avoid enemy one time and after this jump as fast as you can. And its should be in TOP 10 LD44 VOICE ACTINGS

This is brilliant! Such a cool idea, and really well done. The animations are excellent. I'd be interested to see what it looked like with a more limited pixel art palette, but it completely depends on the look you were going for. Great stuff! :smiley:

Nice !! This is really cool ! Everything I saw is great (I played alone x(, will maybe try with my gf tonight) Perhaps randomize the explosions so that it would be more difficult to avoid ?

Thanks for all your feedback, and your kindness! This warm my heart!

@spooky an online multiplayer game seems to be much more work to be stable (matchmaking, managing connection/disconnection, create a data exchange protocol, sync point, ..) We could use socket since it's a html5/Javascript game, but this is not planned... (yet :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:?)

@benmcnelly Multiplayer is real fun if you have someone to play with, but kinda risky for LD. Many people won't have full experience when testing your game :no_mouth:

@boxedmeatrevolution @team-on Indeed we tried different kind of maps with different objectives. Small map are more for versus fighting where you have to take advantage over the enemy by stunning him, else you'll get a draw. And the big maps were mean to be a focus on the movement gameplay where you can only jump because of your chains. This would be an obstacle platform where you take an advantage from your movement skills and where the rocket phase would be more important. But indeed what we aim first is the fun, so I'm glad to take some feedback about which gameplay you like the most :smiley:

@draedrus we didn't have much time and rushed a bit the rocket phase balancing, like modifying the time between 2 rockets' launch, the rockets' speed, the time before the first rocket launch, the crosshair's speed, .. There is still some balancing to do, for sure :slight_smile:

Great polished little 2-player game. Awesome work!
The art is on point, music and sound effects as well. Controls are very responsive and self explainatory. Nothing to critisize here. To bad that i'm testing these games alone, so I couldn't get the most out of this game

Wow, this is really good! Nothing really missing there, it's responsive although the controls aren't easy to handle at first, the graphics are great and translate what the characters are doing. Couldn't play with two unfortunately but I enjoyed what I saw anyway!

Are round things supposed to be barbs that hurt you? They didn't for me.

I LOVED this, even though I only played it myself... The sounds they made when straining to jump higher... Absolutely hilarious. And well done on fitting the theme. Great job!

Thanks for the feedback everyone!
Feel free to try again with a friend haha :grin:

@eclahn Actually no, the barb are currently just platform. We wanted to make it bumpy as when prisoner hit each other. But we sadly didn't had time to add that development. It would have opened some new opportunities for the level design though.

@alienplay Yeah the explosive skeleton is also one of my favourite thing in the game :laughing:

What you can improve:
* add a panel/cinematic for victory
* add a round counter
* add traps slowing opponent
* add props for players

Feels really polished, great amount of content for the time given, the idea itself is very original, could've used some work in the fonts used for text, my partner uses Construct 2 so I know this can be quite a pain in the butt haha. Good job, great entry.

Very nice game. I've played it with ma wife.
We see very little multiplayer games on LD :smile:

Two points:
1. Once you escape, the crosshair shot is too easy, the other guy has nothing to do.
2. It was not clear to me who will get stunned when the players collide.

But all in all, a nice entry.
Keep up the good work.

Very good! We had some problems because of the rollover. But I really like the attention to detail in the game, both graphically and musicaly. :D I was a bit annoyed that I couldn't skip the animations and the talking the next time I tried to play... But it is a very nice entry. :thumbsup:

Very funny how their heads turn red and that you can jump on top of eachother to paralize them. I did encounter a bug though. **[BUG ALERT]** When you hold down d and left arrow at the same time the blue spy can't jump while the orange spy can. Though when holding down a and the right arrow they can both jump at the same time. I had to play it alone, so I guess that it isn't obvious when playing against someone. Also the crosshair doesn't actively aim, it just points at the middle of the screen. It would be nice if the player can control it.

Holy lord, I am DEFINITELY going to have to come back to this when I can play this with the rest of my team.

Everything from the art to the animation to the sound paint this wonderful cartoon-y mood. It's a simple, well-polished concept that I can totally see a group of friends getting excited about on a living room couch!

I also love that the "loser" has a chance at redemption if they don't make it to their truck in time. Moments like that are almost guaranteed hilarity among a good group of friends. :) Excellent job!

Man this really brings me back to couch co-op games. I feel like this game could be so amazing if I had another player to play with.
The grunty noises are the best!

Such a fun game and the graphics are actually quite nice.

Keep up the great work guys would love to see this game worked on farther.

Here is my gameplay from the other day and yes it's only me playing XD [Betrayded By Roilbauk's Team](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/420803799)

Very nice take on the theme. I really appreciate how polished this game is and feels. With a few more levels this could be a nice switch couch-coop game!

The graphics and animations feel very nice and polished too!
