Let me tell ya. I actually want more. Way more. It looks as though you and your friends had a lot of fun while making this game. Everything about it screams MID NINETIES and I am nostalgic as hell about that era. The lo-fi look, the music, the level structure... it resonates with me. It's just... adequately cheesy, even though some of it is clearly very ad-hoc.
The grappling hook could be a great mechanic, if you decided to use it. I was kinda annoyed with it breaking...

Like the early Tomb Raider games and Golden Eye? Yeah, it kinda brought me that sensation too. To be honest we planned to use the grappling hook as a weapon too but we ran out of time :p

@davikin92 Actually, you CAN use it as a weapon, although I imagine it's more of an error or something. It pushes enemies off the level!

Very entertaining game! I would have loved more level, and this is a good sign :)

I'm not much of an FPS player so don't quote me as an expert ^^ All I know is I had fun!

The mix of puzzle element and shooting is really good. The only comment I would make is that the enemy didn't seems very hard to beat.

The music added a lot to the game also.

(You can see me playing this game for the first time on the vod https://youtu.be/34z-nBWKdEw?t=7m24s)

Thanks @togis! All the music and sfx choices were done by one of my teammates, @abel-gonzalez and I didn't expect that the last exit could be cheated. Thanks for streaming our game and finding that bug!

Watched this being streamed. I think it might have actually been @togis that streamed it (Belgium french accent?). Made me check it out tho, and a good fun little game. Liked the hook mechanic, would be interesting to see what other tools could be implemented in an ant type of world :D Good job!

Yeah, it was him. I thought of adding swinging and latching enemies with the hook, but that may be for a later version.

Nice low-poly graphics and fun gameplay. The 90's feel is strong in this one.

I personally expected more of three programmers in 72 hours but it is okay
For those who like this old fashion style I can imagine it's fun.
But foor me the movement was not that good.. In the second level, the end, where you have to jump to the finishl line. I couldn't do it multiple times because it is so weird.
Maybe add some edges in the level design so you cant kill all the enemies from the start point.
But cool game (:

I thought this was a good take on the theme! The shooting and grappling felt good, though I struggled with the movement (particularly) jumping a little. The enemy dying sound got a little old too, but I loved the rest of the sound (especially the bugs)

Quite good game, graphics are not amazing but good.

THe only point I didn't really enjoyed is the controls that are a bit rough. The platform part on the second level is a bit hard because of that. (but who am I to judge, my game has bad controls too :p )

I do not really see the "puzzle" thing as for me it's more a platform / fps melting.
Sounds are okay (the bugs sounds are quite annoying at the beginning of the second level as there are many many bugs :) ), the music adds something to the "stressing" ambiance.

Good work guys ! Rated !

I really liked the inside-the-backpack environment. Great use of the theme!

Really cool! For sure, it has some bugs, but it's funny to play and it has some really good ideas.
Good job!

Yeah! I like to use the hook, good idea! Should be able to be used for other actions too. It is necessary to polish the controls a little with the jump, but very cool game !

Really nostalgic game given the style and controls. I think @shodanon really hit the nail on the head with the description of the game: the mid nineties style (if that's even a style). I love the take on the theme (ants in a human sized world/desk), and I think it's really fun to run on top of everyday objects. However, I think there also needs to be more polish for a few systems, such as the movement control if you want it to be a first-person platformer (A really difficult genre to tackle at that!). Overall, great entry, I think there's a lot of heart to this fun little game.

This was pretty fun and unique. Pencils looked great, rest of the graphics needed something more, maybe more animations. Sound effects were also well done. After I completed the game, I did end up wanting more. The jump mechanics in the eraser part was not quite right, kept missing.

Guys, what do you think about changing temporarily to third person or sidescrolling while doing a jump sequence like in the eraser zone? @faemir @Lipsch @piponazo19 @tacomabert

Well, this was pretty damn fun. I was disappointed when it finished, although the platforming at the end was making me tear my hair out, haha. It had a very retro feel to it even down to the sound effects, which was cool. Nice effort!

I played this on Livestream Today at the request of the Developer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zCqO_O0iIo

There were some really neat aspects, the 3D Art was really good for a jam game, but the platforming was frustrating due to the character controller. The grappling hook was fantastic!

Decent shooter! Some restrictions would have been welcome, maybe limiting ammo or time to complete or something to make it a little more challenging, but overall a decent shoothouse-esque experience.

I like this a lot, I wish there were more of it!

I usually don't like first person shooter games much, because I am very bad at them. This one, though, it more of a first-person platformer that happens to involve shooting (the same genre as Metroid Prime, basically). And I approve of that very much.

_As_ a first-person platformer, though, there is at least one are where it's a bit off - some of the platforms are very small, and it can be hard to aim your jumps properly given that you can't see your feet. So I'd definitely suggest polishing that aspect more if you continue with the game.

Other that that, though, it's hard to find a lot of flaws with this. I'd love to see more levels, with different powers and puzzle elements, etc.
