Dungeon Escape 3D by Zelberor
Dungeon Escape 3D is a game about ... escaping from a dungeon!
Surprised?
You got imprisoned by orcs and are now trapped! Find the green-glowing shrine and teleport out of the dungeon.
But there are orcs that will kill you on sight.
You can not fight nor kill them, so you have to hide in dark spots, and do not get near them at all!

There are also some other shrines you can discover in the dungeon. They may help you escape, when you sacrifice something to them.

Features:
- Dungeon to explore
- Stealth-mechanic (hiding in in dark)
- Shrines to make sacrifices and eventually escape
Controls:
- W, S, A, D to move.
- Mouse to look around.
- E to interact with shrines.
Everything was created by me during the jam, exept for the orc mesh, which my friend Nightwatch created.
Tools used:
- Godot 3.0.6 as game engine
- Blender for modeling and texturing (texture baking)
- Krita for texturing
- Gimp for creating roughness- and normalmaps
- Piskel for creating the leveldesign
About the leveldesign:
The game creates the level based on a pixelated texture.
Each pixel of the texture stands for a 1m*1m square in the game.
And the pixelcolor determines which level-prefab(lava, orc, shrine, etc.) is created at it's position.
So this is the level you play in the game (upscaled):
Because it is pretty easy to print such a texture, this level was created in the last 30minutes of the jam lol.
The next update will definitely be able to load custom maps...
Known problems:
- The ai of the orcs is somewhat unpolished. (they always turn 90 degrees at once and may even see you in the shadows)
- Orcs walk over lava like they don't care.
- May have bad performance on lower spec pcs.
- No sounds :( (i may add some in a future update)
About future updates:
The next update(in a week or so) will include: * Improved orc behaviour and stealth mechanics * Adjusted walking speed and the ability to sprint * Ability to load custom maps
Please report any critical issues.

@yetibytes I will add a sensitivity option in the next update
@xorboo It's actually a jam entry...
I like how the smaller vision area after sacrificing an eye increased the difficulty. Please continue on this game as there is much potential to it. With creepy sound effects and some ambient music who knows how moody this can get. :)
Thanks for making this!
