Delta Vee by AZealousRetort

Though I was unable to devote nearly as much time as I would have liked this game jam, I still came out with something I consider quite fun.
collect stars and dodge the missiles to try for a new high score!

Controls: -move mouse away from the character to add thrust in that direction, the further away the higher the thrust -left click to use a boost and apply instant acceleration in the current direction. boosts recharge automatically and quickly

Decently fun. The steering was really floaty, so it was hard to score high. My high score was a 7.

The controls make this a good challenge. Even if you corral the missiles it still gets hard. Using the boost not as speed but as a fine control method is pretty innovative.

Love the control, it's so smoothy. Nice challenging game yet I didn't see too much points from the theme.

Yeah, the control is really nifty! I like how it feels to swoop around with the mouse -- I'm glad you clarified it was *dragging* the mouse that did it. Sometimes the boost spawns off screen and you have to poke in the dark to get it -- is that intentional? It can be fun but also a bit tedious. I enjoyed playing this, good work!

This isn't too bad! The controls are a bit frustrating due to the lack of friction and sensitivity (at least on this super-high-res Mac screen), but the core concept is enjoyable. I also thought the collider circle on the ship could be smaller for more close-call events. Despite my complaints about the controls, I do think the challenge is cool. Would have been nice if said controls wasn't for something intentionally action-packed.
