Blackout by Jakub Panek
Blackout is a short game about managing power, productivity, and sleep. You are game developer competing in Ludum Dare 39, who is hit by a power outage during the event.

Controls
Play with mouse only. Rightclick on objects to reveal menu.

Hints
The progression of time is quite fast, at the start you must quickly sell one of the monitors and buy UPS's so they will time to charge. The Coffee machine can provide you with boost. If you are not well rested you will collapse and forcibly rest.
Notes
This is my very first Ludum Dare game. It's not entirely balanced.
I opted out of an audio category since I used jukedeck.com to generate music.

I agree with the comments above. I struggled to understand what to do.
Great idea though and lovely graphics.
The game itself is a bit simple once you find out what to do (which - as others have said - isn't really clear at the start). It also took me a while to notice where I can see how much money I had left.
I don't know if this was on purpose or not, but there were a lot of machines that had an option to turn them off in the context menu but that couldn't be turned off.
Overall, this is a solid first entry! I especially enjoyed the hand-drawn graphics which added a bit more personality to the game
Great job!
I loke the art style, it is overall consistent and nicely drawn. I love hand-drawn art in games.
The whole game's got an air of absurdity around it; the coffee machine being the most expensive item in your house notwithstanding, and that air really carries the whole thing in a delightful way.
There are a number of UI elements that remain unimplemented. The Generators, some "TURN OFF" buttons, the size of the description windows, etc. I don't know if that was something intentional or if you just ran out of time, but you definitely get the impression that Blackout was made in as much of a rush and panic as the game you make in Blackout.
All in all, very nice work. One of the funnier games I've played so far, really enjoyed it.
