@bnmkt thank you! The bgm is not mine so I have to submit it in Jam Category. I'll pulish it before deadline of Jam.

Loved the cute wizard, the indicators for direction and mana under the characters were very helpful.

Good and smooth controlls. Like how it fade out for Gameover. And the shooting behaviour is quick and response really nice! Great! :D

A neat minimal shooter game with well matching graphics and the bg sound fits it well. Though I did expect little flying imps instead of slimes at the start, but I guess the wizard is drunk on mana, thus sees things differently.

First of all, the wizard movement animation is so cute it wants me wanna scream in a high pitched voice.
The game is really fun, cute, nice, controls well, sounds well, etc. etc. Really a great job, you got the highest rating out of all games I played so far. I didn't manage to beat the final boss, although I tried three times. Doesn't seem to take any damage. How do you beat him?

turning up the mana bomb power and continuously explode red slime! they will grow to a huge size. Then keep shooting on a same red slime and alway let it in a mana-increasing status, it will be killed soon. and huge mana will be leaked out and gained our little mage. quickly tuning the 'bomb power' to a incredible high value and press "Boom"(key_k). You are likely over-kill the boss immediately.

Thank you for your deep playing!

Nice game! I found a few visual glitches, and I think the enemy AI is a bit bad (they run into walls all the time). Catchy tune! Great work

Love the sound and the art is cute. It's like Gandalf was a blue-robed badass motherflipper. The only downside: I wasn't happy with the keybindings. Good job, though! Keep on jammin'!

Good project. I like the simplicity. Some things that can improve the game is by breaking up the monotony of "mashing shoot button" by introducing different types of attacks the player can use, and as well as additional enemy types. Pathfinding need a bit of fixing but it's okay for a prototype. I would say that the good thing about Mana Drunk is that the fundamental parts feel polished. So now you can continue iterating on your game and add more things to make it more interesting.

Simple but fairly enjoyable! The animations are juicy and the sounds fit together, if a bit loud when it stacks. I find beating the game a bit tricky because the mob enemies don't train you for the boss. It was a bit surprising when the boss came and your attacks suddenly do nothing.

It's enjoyable yes but being a big fan of top down shooters, I really, really needed it to start way harder. Overall it feels like one of the more polished entries but what's holding it back a little in my opinion is breaking that mold

I felt it was great, I like the game over system, where your mana and lvls will carry forward, and the red slime mechanic was really really good for farming mana. The art and music also fit well

Never actually beat the boss tho, even with everything maxed out, tough guy.

Really liked the minimalistic pixel art with its animations, the controls felt good, overall it feels polished, need more variety but what can you ask for a jam game anyways, maybe ill be mirroring this basic pixel art with tween animations jejeje

Things I didn't like:
- It's a bit confusing the part where we hit the purple one and then he absorbs mana and when we kill him we gain absurd amounts of mana. It scales too fast. It's kind of fun too, but more confusing than fun hahaha. It's too chaotic.
- The sound effects stacks when you kill many monsters. It gets really loud. (I use Godot too and have the same problem, don't know how to solve...)
- The difficulty curve ramps up too fast. The levels 1-5 are very easy, the green blobs pratically don't count as threats. Then the boss comes and instakills me, lul.

Things I liked:
- The effects were very good, like when enemies died or when I threw a large bomb and many died, satisfying.
- The music is awesome!!
- The boss fight is very challenging. I was satisfied when I finally killed him.
- The pixel art is simple but beautiful!
