Fleets Of Rage by Helarosale
First game jam for Ludum Dare 41. The theme was "Combine 2 Incompatible Genres" so we went with Shoot 'em up and Beat 'em up. We didn't get time to fully implement the second genre. I (Paul) did the artwork and Mark did the majority of the game engine.

Only that the genre mix was only in the graphics, the rest of the game is just a plain horizontal shooter. I really appreciate you did your own sprites.
One important thing: some of the enemies appear so high that it's impossible to hit them.
