Very well put together given the time frame. I wasn't expecting this type of game from the name lol. My only gripe is only being able to shoot in four set direction makes it really hard to stay alive when the grannys and bouncers are coming for you! Good work.

Thanks for the great feedback all! @b3agz We based a lot of the game on Binding of Isaac which, without powerups, only lets you shoot in the cardinal directions. We would have liked to add more powerups but ran out of time last night  .

I reached room 39 but died there :(
A great game, I had a lot of fun playing it! I'm not sure if the slot machine works well, I think I could gamble three times while only using two coins. The theme is respected and I loved being a slot machine that looks like Rambo. Congrats for your awesome entry!

Super nice game, you clearly worked alot on polishing up the interactions. The sounds and the spin animations are super satisfying. I kept playing for a while. Well done :)

Great polish! I won.

It got very monotonous after a while.

I didn't like I could only shoot in 4 directions.

Being on Newgrounds, with the look and the funny randomized voice lines from the enemy made the game feel nostalgic to me. I share the grip of only 4-wy fire, but I think with the levels designed as they are, you can still get stuff done.
The sound design also made the game feel that much better.

This is by far the biggest casino I've been in... A bit repetitive tho.

The game felt really balanced, I had a laugh when I first saw those old woman screaming around. The concept was applied perfectly, expect a 5 stars on that category guys. I really liked the different upgrades too.

What I'd change is the way the slot machine works, I hated to leave my keyboard arrows everytime I wanted to get an upgrade.

Art and music are quite good, they fit the casino theme really well.

Aside from that, good job!

But what happens at room 40?
Very funny time waster, nicely polished and balanced. And great thanks for being able to skip that slot machine animation, I was so glad it was possible in a room filled with ten coins.
I especially like the athmospheric music, sound design was also nicely done but a bit repetitive at points.

40 is just when we stopped making levels. =P

haha nice game, i made two cycle of 40 rooms (so 80 in a row) And in approximatively the 60' room sprites disapeared i only had the shadows of mobs and me, the table and machines disapeared too. If you click too quickly on the roulette you can sometimes get two round for one buck. By the way, good job, it was really fun to play !

This is a pretty nicely designed game. I like the fact that the coins from previous levels actually carry on to the next room if you don't pick them up by accident-nice anti-frustration feature right there.

Really nice entry, art could've been a bit more interesting cartoon wise, REALLY well polished gameplay I was actually having quite some fun! I like that you can skip the spinning but I wish I could retry instantly instead of closing and opening the slot machine, you guys got a good score from me, this is awesome.

Reached Room 17 on my third try! That was the furthest I have gotten. I figured having three life points at all times was the best method for a long time. Nice job with the aesthetics and the music. The mood was certainly there! The upgrades didn't feel that meaningful, probably due to the limited number of enemies. Nice and sweet! Great at showing how people might get sucked into casino games.

Amazing submission, very binding of issac inspired haha. Could have used some useable power ups but great nonetheless

Realy good game.

**Positive things: **

- cute graphics
- nice humor
- nice music
- i like the implementation of the theme
- it's fun to play

**Negative things: **

- in my opinion the game gets too fast too difficult. In Level 17 I was totaly lost and had no chance. But maybe I'm just a bad player :D

Great work, well done!

Ahahaha! I love it. Really good on the presentation too!

At first, I was cringing because I thought it was just a slots game from the title art, but the fact you are a slot machine is amazing!

Died really early on, but I saw enough. Binding of Issac with gambling your health away?! Awesome!

Good interpretation of the theme, though I think life would be more like currency if you were gambling for more life instead of power-ups. Still, gambling with life is something I didn't even think of.
I noticed some people saying the music is great but the game was completely silent for me.
Also the slot machine was blank for me. It'd tell me if I won but I never actually saw symbols.

Despite the people who complain, I found it pretty easy. It started getting very repetitive after getting the lucky coin though. Can't say I got bored until level 35 though ^^ And I was too close to the end to quit.

Was pretty funny and the mood is there to keep me psyched! I liked this entry! Good job!

Some Cheap Implementations like different weapons would add a lot to the game.

This game is great fun! A really simple set of mechanics that work really well together in a unique way that ties to the theme, plenty of good quality art and music and a well designed easy to understand UI made this a very enjoyable experience and a great jam entry.
My only complaint would be how the diffuculty was very dependent on RNG and there was one powerup I never got from the slot machines. I did enjoy the 'push-your-luck' approach to gambling life for upgrades though so I wouldn't know quite how to balance this out.
I hope you continue to make games, I'd love to see what you do in the future.

Thank you all for the great comments! Lots of good ideas and great feedback.

@shaolin-dave I'm sorry you ran into a bug! We had another person report that the slots were not displaying correctly. It's implemented using simple UV scrolling, so we are stumped as to why it's not working. If you don't mind helping us debug this: what browser are you using and could you check if the slots work using a different one? The music missing is even more mysterious, because we are doing nothing special there (just a Unity audio source). Thanks!

@trozen I tried playing again, I'm using Safari. Still no sound, or images on the slots (actually the first few images show up but then when they scroll away it's all white).

But I get sound and the slot images when I switch to Chrome.

I think there's been a couple other games that have sound issues, even in Chrome. Most (mine included) work fine in Safari. I'd say it's probably a combination of Unity's player and the browser, maybe Java versions, and I wouldn't rule out Newgrounds either.

Maybe you can try tweaking the streaming/preloading settings on those specific assets and rebuild your HTML5 version?
