Notified ! by Bigaston
Welcome to Notified! This is a little game create in 48H for the 41th Ludum Dare. The theme of this Ludum Dare was Combine 2 Incompatible Genres so I decide to create a game between a "Explore the lost phone" and a Minigame Compilation.
The game is not finish because I don't have the time to finish it (and I don't know how to made some function), so it's just a prototype for an other game I will publish in the futur.
3 playable minigames
== FOLDER MINIGAME ==
Basicly, it's a Breakout game. You can move the bar with your Left and Right arrow and you can launch the ball with the Up key.
== INTERNET MINIGAME ==
This is a little shooter were you have to destroy the 5 letters of the Gogle logo! You can move you starship (yes this is a magnifying glass) with the Left and Right arrow and you can shoot with the Up arrow
== PATREON MINIGAME ==
This is just a basic clicker were you have to click to the Donate button to increase the number of patrons of the people you like!

I would really love to play a more complete and polished game like that, and only with mouse/touch controls instead of keyboard :)
Is there any end to the Patreon game? I donated $1,000 and nothing happened :p
Also by the way, there is a small mistake on the instruction page : in the breakout game the ball is launched with Up arrow, not A.
Keep up the good work !
Yes the Patreon minigame have no end, I think it's not clear, you are not the first to say that ^^'
For the mistake, it's because in the first version, it's A key to launch and I have change it because I think it's better with A but I forgot to change on Itch xD Thanks for the report!
PLEASE put the controls on the description, I didn't know you could even interact with those games at first.
(Ca me fait bizarre de te parler en anglais 😄)
Et je serrais ravis d'accepter ton aide ^^ (Oui je finis en français car j'ai la flemme de réfléchir à comment ça se dit en anglais xD
(Moi aussi xD)

fun little game for your first jam, keep on going (:
Very cool and interesting idea, too bad it lacks polish and content! I'm sure it would have been super cool. Has potential!
Yes I don't have lot of time to add lot and lot of content, I'm going to update it when I have the time!
The breakout game was decent, as was clicking around seeing what everything did. I wasn't really keen on the game opening links based on in game actions though. It might have been cool if you were doing some sort of AR thing with it - putting a text document in the github with a 'Gogle' search term for the phone, that sort of thing. As it is, it felt like an exploration game, where you were punished for exploring with pop-up ads. Maybe they should have been on a second screen which was clearly marked as external links.
I think I get the idea of how you were trying to approach the theme, but there wasn't a lot here to demonstrate were going. Looking at this set-up, I get this feel like it has a lot of potential, but needs more to really make it gel: some interconnectivity between the elements; some form of progression; and some progress in exploring the mystery of the phone, if that's what this is supposed to be about. A dummy high-score table in breakout that would allow you to search a name on Gogle[sic], that could give you an email address to send an email to, that would let you get a new notification with a reply. Conceptually, those are the sort of mechanics I'd expect within the framework you have here, to make something cohesive out of this.
The icons looked good, except that they were all basically copies of existing brands, except for breakout, for which I have no idea what the icon is supposed to represent. The patreon page looked good as well. I liked the pseudo text there.
As far as I could tell, there wasn't any audio, and other than 'Gogle', not much in the way of humor. The mood was solid though, in the sense that it consistently felt like a smart phone simulator.
Overall though, it still had some fun in there, even if it was mostly just from the little breakout game. It seemed like your theme choice may have given you more to do than you had time for =/.
For the breakout game, the physics is very simple in the code, I don't know how to made a better. For the icon of the breackout, it's based on my own folder app, on my phone.
For the external link, I don't represent it like that, and sorry for that :/
The other icon was for other minigames I have idea, but I don't have the time to finish it. (In the source code, you can find the start of the code for the Spotify's minigames.)
For the first, I would like to mix Explore the phone, dungeon explorer and minigames but I don't have the time to made the dungeon mecanics and the explore the phone mecanics. But all of you idea was great and maybe I add it to the game when I have the time! (Maybe this summer)
And for the icon, I've very happy you like it! Art is a part I don't realy like and I'm not an artist but just a developper.
So thanks for you very long comment with lot of feedback ^^
I've create lot of icon, because I think I can have the time to create lot of minigames but I don't have the time to finish it :/
For the first, my idea was to mix Explore the phone, Donjon Explorer and Minigames compilation, but I just have the time to made the Minigames compilation ^^'
