Being able to walk around after landing was a nice touch, helps give a sense of scale!
I quite enjoyed KSP and got quite good at it, so this game came pretty easy to me. I love space and astronauts so you hit a sweet spot for me as well.
I couldn't rate super high on innovation BECAUSE of the similarity to KSP, but everything else I was pretty impressed with and I had a good time landing a few times. (Nice touch starting at a different orientation each time - or at least it seemed like it did).
I just love these kind of games, because, as you can see, I am a master of such games. Just kidding, though I think the real apollo astronauts couldn't have landed the LM like that without braking it.
Amazing job.
I'm not quite sure how I'm getting back to earth, but at least the view is nice... :D
Wow, a (semi)realistic simulator as a Ludum Dare game! Impressive!
The introduction with the quote and the thumb calibration sets the right mood, very well done!
A few refinements:
* Don't make me re-calibrate the Earth size every time I play.
* Every time I fail, just let me start over by pressing a button, rather than return to the Main menu.
* Some radio chatter with Houston would have made it feel right.
I managed a landing I could walk away from after many attempts...
