Great combat system! I could see this being expanded into an addictive game. I'd play it on my phone for sure. I liked that transition effect too, it reminded me of classic 16 bit games.

I like how fleshed out everything is, especially for a 48 hour compo game. There isn't really much I can say to improve on - great job!

Great mechanics. Played hardball. Need to light the targets.

really fun! I Love RPGs and am amazed at how much you crammed into a compo game! The basic mechanic is really fun and intuitive. I'd love to see this fleshed out in a post-jam version

Great concept, even though the execution leaves a bit to be desired. Good stuff for a game jam, I could see it being fleshed out into a cool game.

You've got the seeds for an interesting combat system here. It would be great to see it developed further (I'm thinking of things like character classes and synergies between cards and characters -maybe this is already there?, or how you coud weave some patterns while selecting battle elements for cool combos).

Getting extra cards when you defeat an enemy felt quite rewarding too. Were those cards random as well, or predetermined depending on the creep / stage?

Some clearer feedback would be nice to see when you're attacked or what effects your own attacks had on the enemies, and especially when you beat a stage: the button at the bottom right isn't obvious enough and cards were still falling down.

Oh, and nice catchy tune! (since it's the only track it can become repetitive, but I really liked the retro vibe)

Great job!
