The controls were a bit twitchy, but I'm not terribly good at precision platformers. I liked how different environments had different tunes, and I thought the levels were cleverly crafted, with lots of interest packed into small screens. The level with the blinking platforms was tough! Started to feel almost rhythmic, because of how you'd need to go and stop to the beat of the level. Good and polished entry!","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"sylvie","author_uid":"1113438","time":"2019-04-30T21:19:36Z","epoch":1556659176,"modified":1556659176,"text":"Nice little platformer, though I don't really get what the scoring system was supposed to add - I ended up just playing the same levels over and over until I got enough points to win!","likes":0,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"cozmic","author_uid":"1098299","time":"2019-04-30T21:27:27Z","epoch":1556659647,"modified":1556659647,"text":"I like the art and the music is pretty fitting I think. It took me some to figure out the scoring method and how to lower your heart value, the explanation was not very clear to me. The game has a very nervous controls and some rooms are really hard, I never managed to get the key and the heart on level 1-4 by the way\n\nI would love to see more rooms !! When you start the game you choose which level where to put the heart ( the various small hearts are just bonus pickups ) if you put it in level 1.1 then it would appear immediately and thats the way to play the game on easy mode, keep putting the heart in the very next level to make the game easy or do the oppersite for more challenge... its been confusing people which is a shame as its the most interesting mechanic in the game as its user guided difficulty.","likes":0,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"treslapin","author_uid":"1125901","time":"2019-05-04T17:10:25Z","epoch":1556989825,"modified":1556989825,"text":"I like the idea, but unfortunately it was not well communicated to the player. I sort of understood after reading the description that I was choosing the hardest difficulty by choosing a further away room. Otherwise, though I didn't exactly get what I was doing in the grid, nor what the choices had to do with drink, drugs, or greed. The music got a little repetitive after a while, but had a charming retro feel to it. Out of the level mechanics, I liked the material that slowed down your fall.","likes":0,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"NathanT","author_uid":"1144807","time":"2019-05-04T19:12:15Z","epoch":1556997135,"modified":1556997135,"text":"Fun platformer. I enjoyed the vertical challenges and having different objectives. It was a little confusing progressing directly to the furthest cell from the start, but not having any new cells unlocked upon arrival (the game took me back to the first cell which I'd chosen as my new destination). Good soundtrack. Would be nice to see a little more depth in player movement.","likes":0,"format":"md"}],"format":"md","images":["ld44\/145572-369e230ce00e40fb7e003347c8cbfa33.png"],"links":[{"url":"https:\/\/ariake81.itch.io\/lost-in-limbo-ld44-entry","text":"HTML5 (web)"}],"metadata":{"g_key":"42841","g_author":"1066438","g_event":"LD44","g_eventkey":"75","g_subevent":"JAM","g_urlkey":"255948","g_title":"Lost In Limbo","g_status":"USEAR3","g_place":"99999","g_commentcount":"18","g_site2_node_id":"145572","g_hide":"N","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0.0551986"},"nds":{"n_key":"145572","n_urlkey":"255948","n_parent":"139254","n_path":"\/events\/ludum-dare\/44\/lost-in-limbo","n_slug":"lost-in-limbo","n_type":"item","n_subtype":"game","n_subsubtype":"jam","n_author":"66438","n_created":"1556172799","n_modified":"1556603893","n_version":"462010","n_status":"COMMIT"},"node":{"id":145572,"parent":139254,"superparent":9,"author":66438,"type":"item","subtype":"game","subsubtype":"jam","published":"2019-04-29T22:50:59Z","created":"2019-04-25T06:13:19Z","modified":"2019-04-30T05:58:13Z","version":462010,"slug":"lost-in-limbo","name":"Lost In Limbo","body":"LOST IN LIMBO (5 level shareware version....yeah ok i run out of time but im an old dos gamer so it's now \"shareware\"!)\n\nUse arrow keys to move and jump.\nPick up keys to unlock the doors of each level and collect a score. that score will be lost if you get hit by any enemy before you reach your heart in the level you chose to leave it in. \n\n<<<< IMPORTANT >>>> use the mouse to choose which level to place your heart in when prompted to do so on the map screen.
