Life in the Trenches by meskaline
Welcome to Life in the trenches.
The goal of the game is to keep a balance between your stats of your unit stationed in the trenches on the west front of the First World War(ammo, energy, hunger and morale).
The challenge would be to take difficult decisions under pressure. Good luck, and have a honorable death!
The controls are:
- Space: Shoot
- Up, Down, Enter: Select a solution to appearing problems
Good luck!
I can't believe I finished(ish) this game in such a short time while I was learning lua and Love2d(first time writing code in Love2d or lua) and also finally learning to do some audio(not so great but i'm proud)
Tools:
- language - lua
- Framework - Love2d
- Graphics - Piskel
- Audio - Bosca Ceoil
Disclaimer:
- There is a possible bug regarding the questions not to appear. If you got that please notice me, i still don't know why it happens. It only happened to 2 guys at work. (it may be related to some timers being dependent on frame rates, i'll investigate and try to do a build with this fixed).
- There are many spelling mistakes. Sorry for that.

I would be happy to see more of this game.
@sadzanenyama @bj-pucci Yeah, I was really tired and didn't had the time for spellcheck. I'm frustrated now...
@triplefox Thank a lot for your input. At first I wanted to add more content but I found the routine and repetitiveness of events give a nice taste of the trench werfare.
Did my best but this is all i got. Poor Billy was shot in the head like 4 times and kept doing stuff. While i liked the concept and execution, and so the easy to understand mechanics, i found that soon the questions became repetitive. Other than that, the graphics are neat and the sound matches it in a pleasant way. Good job!
It was a bit confusing just because of that, otherwise great art style and music - like @simon-parzer said, nice DOS game feel!

I got this bug while playing first time. I hope it helps you

The idea is very cool though, congrats!
