​Monsters are attacking your village and it's up to you as village Shaman to keep everyone safe.

Cut wood to build towers. Upgrading Towers requires Soul and you will have to knockout one of your village folk (without the others seeing) and offer as sacrifice to the flaming altar before striking your staff on the tower to Upgrade 25 wood required to build a Tower... but only one poor soul is needed to upgrade a tower.

Controls: - Arrow keys to move - Z to strike, cut wood & upgrade towers - Hold X to drag unconscious villagers

The game felt clunky to play. Like using your mouse only to build a tower felt weird. Also you needed to just cut wood to have enough towers, I've sacrificed 3 people upgraded a tower, but it didn't really feel like that tower became more powerfull. He just shot more, but the enemies didn't die faster (if at all). So you should really look into the balance for the game. The idea is quite funny though!

Had fun playing it. Liked the art and as mentioned above, maybe upgrade the towers to be stronger :)

@piter and @darkanice, I agree, would've been better with just mouse control I think.

@elfunck definitely could've used polish, unfortunately we had other commitments so had to try to at least get the core in. Was probably more around 20 to 30 hours tops we actually spent. Just about got the enemies speeding up over time before uploading so yeah the balance was all over the place @darkanice & @rhewid . Better time management for sure next time, but was a nice challenge getting what we had ready

Wow, at first I built all the towers I could using all the wood on the map, and thought the monsters weren’t being a big challenge… but then their number exploded and I was quickly overwhelmed despite sacrificing villagers to upgrade towers. I wish there was some sort of renewable resource somewhere, for instance villagers respawning or being recruited, or trees regrowing… I don’t know, something to make the game a bit easier :sweat: I know how it’s like doing balancing minutes before the jam deadline, so I can’t blame you :grinning:

Other than that, the graphics are nice. The controls, as mentioned above, are a bit weird: I think tower building is convoluted, maybe right-clicking anywhere could be enough to build a tower, instead of having to move the mouse all over the screen to reach that button.

Another suggestion: some kind of feedback about the critters’ health may be nice. Also, I thought it could be funny and an interesting addition if the character could help hit critters, even if not very hard.

Fun little game, though it took 3 tries to understand what's going on. :p

It's quite good for the time frame. Some sound would add very well for very few time invested.

I really like the concept. I would like to see the stealth to be more integral, that could be interesting.
The UI could use some work. It took me ages to realise how to actually build towers and having to grab the mouse is kinda akward. The game is also zoomed out too much IMO. Also, the villagers could respawn to make lategame possible.
