I think I'm bouncing off the interface UX. My next iterations would be some quality of life things like highlighting the paths that are available between a building's supply and demand to help telegraph the goals to players. If carriages remembered a sequence of stops and could show me their path then I could make better decisions. I think these things make the game more interesting because they reveal enough that I can start to think about the implications of my choices. Right now I can't get past the first layer and the implications of my choices are surprising and hard to learn from.","likes":2,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"DevEmil","author_uid":"1011800","time":"2018-08-15T14:45:18Z","epoch":1534344318,"modified":1534344318,"text":"This has quite some potential! The controls are somehow difficult and not really intuitive, a tutorial would really help the game and also it would be nice not to use right click to move the camera AND assign the carts, as I always accidentally move the screen then. \nHowever, I think that this game could be really cool, with a few more features, so keep me updated if you do a later version! \nAlso check out our game, we also made a city builder, where you run out of space :D","likes":2,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"outstar","author_uid":"1011467","time":"2018-08-16T14:33:24Z","epoch":1534430004,"modified":1534430004,"text":"Very interesting idea, I was immediately drawn to the visuals and web-based strategy - however, I think it would be much better if you could put the tutorial, even in the written form, in the game itself. Also, not a huge fan of the music - was a bit too repetitive and I'm sure it must've gotten annoying for you during the development :) On the good side - idea, visuals, building mechanics, all worked nicely!","likes":1,"format":"md"}],"format":"md","images":["ld42\/103781-5efb369f70e759464677c7e4e32cd2a3.png"],"links":[{"url":"http:\/\/ldjam42.kiroth.de\/","text":"HTML5 (web)"},{"url":"https:\/\/github.com\/Nerwerder\/LudumDare42Try","text":"Source code"},{"url":"http:\/\/ldjam42.kiroth.de\/Windows.zip","text":"Windows"}],"metadata":{"g_key":"43149","g_author":"1014102","g_event":"LD42","g_eventkey":"73","g_subevent":"JAM","g_urlkey":"240812","g_title":"Busy Streets","g_status":"USEAR3","g_place":"1146","g_commentcount":"11","g_site2_node_id":"103781","g_hide":"N","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":{"n_key":"103781","n_urlkey":"240812","n_parent":"97793","n_path":"\/events\/ludum-dare\/42\/busy-streets","n_slug":"busy-streets","n_type":"item","n_subtype":"game","n_subsubtype":"jam","n_author":"14102","n_created":"1533729005","n_modified":"1534270911","n_version":"342967","n_status":"COMMIT"},"node":{"id":103781,"parent":97793,"superparent":9,"author":14102,"type":"item","subtype":"game","subsubtype":"jam","published":"2018-08-13T22:58:53Z","created":"2018-08-08T11:50:05Z","modified":"2018-08-14T18:21:51Z","version":342967,"slug":"busy-streets","name":"Busy Streets","body":"\n![logo.png](\/\/\/raw\/617\/3\/z\/185f5.png)\n\n## Idea\n\nThere is no space, at least after the city grows a bit and you have more than three carriages to manage. The player has to use the input and output locations of the buildings clever to prevent deadlocks and find Collision free Paths.
