Fun little game, almost ruined by an input lag. There is a one second delay between pressing space and actually punching.

Love the idea and nice graphics too. I think the mechanic of the character getting beefed-up is really fun.

The only issue I had is that the barbells don't spawn often enough - I could only make it to level 3.

Great job :)

Unfortunately I cannot run this Windows 64 bit exe on my 32 bit machine, could you add another build?

Cool game, liked the idea of not dying when running out of power but rather becoming unable to fight. I wish the punch wasn't so delayed but that might have been my slow PC.

@pixelformedstudios no it isnt your slow pc... the punch is a bit too delayed... I wanted, that it feels powerfull, but overdid it a bit and when you test the game so much youre getting used to the bad inputlag.... I wont change it though, because that is simply what i managed to do after 48h :)

Nice humor and I love the punching animation and the enemies flying away when they die.

Hey, I am back for another try, but it still says that the game is not a valid win32 application.

I also tried download the source but realized it is the same link and it looks like you have built with unity. Maybe you could rebuilt it with a 32 bit target? I don't know how this engine works.

Anyway, if you want to check that your .exe is actually 32 bit, here is nice simple way to do that, opening the .exe in a simple text editor:

That was pretty fun, neat designs. Wish the punching animation was a bit faster and more responsive. Was interesting to try and line up as many with a single punch, some sort of scoring system could have helped.

Hm I changed my mind about the input lag of the punsh. I fixed it and made it faster and more responsive. Hope its ok as it is just a little fix and not a new feature or anything. The lag just hurted the experience too much.

That bodybuilder guy is hilarious :D I had some problems because I collected booth dumbbells and didn't kill the first guy. So the Wave 1 didn't spawn. After I figured out what to do I keept punching them out of the screen :D

Simple and Fun!
I need to be really carefully of my energy bar, die couple times because I transform back right in front of enemy's face.
I have a good time , thanks :D

The graphics are really nice. The only bad thing I noticed was the "Wave" text, that was extremely blurry for some reason.

The music isn't bad either. Gives it a very weird feeling and I like it.

The gameplay is extremely simple, and I had a problem where the SFX where completely out of sync with the punches. Especially when you hold down the button it happens very quickly. This made the game a bit unenjoyable to be honest, which is unfortunate because the gameplay doesn't need to be much more complex if it feels good. But the out of sync stuff and lacking impact and weird hitbox detection is kinda putting me off.

You're definitely getting high points for graphics and humor from me though. I love the bodybuilder, but the gameplay needs a bit more polish.

I like the graphics. A bit boring with just one enemy though. Quick tip, if you just take the enemy character and change skin color and hair you have a variety of enemies with not much extra work.

Great job on this! Your slap animation is pretty sweet, I wish there were more animations like it in the game.

The gameplay is pretty stiff and punches lack a bit of reactivity, but pretty good theme and visuals !

Hmmm, well the concept is fun, but definitely needed some more work. First of all the "window size" appeared to be off as far as my computer was concerned, the power bar went off the left edges of the screen. As others have mentioned there is extreme lag on the attack, and sometimes the animation didn't happen but the sound did (I had a similar issue with my game so I'm certainly not saying I did much better haha). Also, there were some layer issues, where an enemy was clearly in front of another, yet their image was partially "behind" the other. I solve this in gms2 by having the "depth" be adjusted every gamestep by their y coordinate, not sure how to do it in unity. Also, the beat is good, as a start, just needs some more layers to come in eventually, to keep things interesting. Of course this is all stuff you can improve with time, so don't worry! Congrats fellow first jammer! :)

Really nice idea, but needs some more polishing(it is sometimes too hard, sometimes too easy). Graphics are fun, but could be a little bit better.

Hilarious game! Very fun idea. The graphics and the controls are a little under, but it compensates with the fun of playing it. Good job.

You should look into the input lag, i had that too.

I died when the barbells spawned behind the wave of enemies and I couldn't get past them. Such is life.

It seems the Linux build is broken due to the data files having inconsistent letter casing.
