The Ancient Ones are pleased by your sacrifices so they granted us the permission to give you some clues about your mission.
Just some tips for you to make some things clearer:
1) Gather items for hidden lore (notes and red bags) that appears in the lair. (check the wall too ;))
2) You can run past a confused NPC using SHIFT to hide quickly.
3) Steps while running make noises. Squeaky doors make noises. Use sounds wisely.
4) You can’t run past a triggered NPC, so if you bump into him you’ll lose. Stay calm, stay cold blooded, think about a strategy.
5) NPC will be looking for you if you are spotted. Hide and wait for a while.
6) To finish level you need to kidnap a prey, put him in the cart and run away.
7) We’re sorry, but we didn’t have a time to give you an opportunity to save your game. Play it now and play it until the end.
8) Speaking about the end, the 7th level WILL surprise you, so try your best to play it and beat it ;)

Graphics are great. music is fitting (did you source that elsewhere?)
Texts are a bit repetetive. The stealth mechanic is simplistic but for the timeframe all in all its a great game!

The audio is also absolutely amazing. These two things contribute to a truly excellent mood.
The gameplay was very good, though the theme of sacrifice itself wasn't too relevant. I suck at these kinds of games, though, so I didn't manage to play it all the way through.
All in all, it's one of the best entries I've seen this LD. Congratulations!
There were some characters that got stuck on the second floor during the last level, which made it a bit hard to sneak around (web version), but it all worked out in the end!
The level design, graphics and music is great and well made, it fits together so perfectly.. I love games that requires sneaking with no option of killing, it's so fun! Great work!!
We are very glad you enjoyed our game! About the usage of the theme: the Ancient Ones need offerings, and we kindap people to sacrifice them in our lair.
The last level is a true competion, we know about it. But as the God said in the beginning - you WILL be rewarded, just try your best ;)
There are just a few bugs that are visible but nothing too important. It's that sometimes I cannot get a key that a personne holds. It says "F" but somehow I can' get it on the first try. Some patrol are random and sometimes 2 people can get stuck in a room and it's impossible to get they key of the boy "3rd level"
and the walking animation of characters can somehow bug and they walk without moving legs (creepy actually :P )
But other than these few little bugs, it is really enjoyable, well done :)

The big suprise for me was dedication to the game concept and effort that made that game distinguish among others projects on this platform. Music is brilliant serves as a great example of how you should make a music for a game like this, intense, with hints of the threat posed by the player. The interface, pixel graphics are absolutely astonishing and seems almost impossible to achieve in such limited time. Got some technical problems in a web version caused by my brouser, but it didn`t spoiled the aftertaste of the game.
The cons are simple - it`s quite easy to beat, the gameplay can`t stand the test of time, if there were more than 7 levels it quickly would get bored and even a nice style would not save the game
Well done, solid 8 out of 10, can`t wait for the upcoming content!

For the core mechanics of the game, i think its a great.
And i love the stealth mechanics for a 2D game.
Super polished concept and execution.
It seems quite impressive to do this within 72 hours!

If I had to nitpick, the intro/text sections are a bit slow; I'd like to see more text on the screen at once and a slightly more interesting text interaction, but what you have is a good compromise given your time budget. Something to look into for post compo I suppose! The skip button was welcome.
I don't have much else to add, but keep up the good work and strongly consider fleshing this into a larger experience.

Thank you for playing! Yeah, we planned to add a distraction mechanic by throwing a special item that makes sounds, but didn't have much time for it, so we had to get rid of this idea :(
