Race against the eternal clock as you aid The Wiz in his journey to the top of the mountain. cover.png

The Wiz is constantly running out of power so make sure to utilize your environment to replenish as needed. gamePlay.png

As your power runs out, as does the opacity of your character, as he/she fades from existence.

Can you help our wizard friend complete his ascent? Probably not! but download to find out!

Really nice game! Good work!
BTW where you supposed to do something with the others that looked like you... interacting with them did nothing... :D

Awesome graphics, I couldn't figure out what the talk to other wizard button was. x? I don't know. Loved the atmosphere, though!

Very atmospheric! Loved the pixelated visual style, the music was also very well made. Cool detail that the footsteps and thunder sound like drums :). Gameplay was a bit slow, and not very challenging, unfortunately. And what is the intro about?!?! I felt like I was watching alien-porn haha.

Well done!

I really like the colours you used for the graphics, and the mood was very good. Well done! :)

One of the weirdest games I played in a while, I played it fully concentrated. The atmosphere you created is so good. Great work.

Really quite a strange game. The colours, the music and the ambiguous storyline make it all feel like some kind of fever-dream -- not that that's a bad thing.

I had a lot of fun just soaking up the atmosphere for this one, it was certainly a very interesting experience. My only real complaint is that the ending feels quite disappointing. A little picture to show what happens next would be nice, but I understand you probably didn't have enough time for something like that.

Anyway, nice job on the game. Keep up the good work! :)

Visually, I think this is the most striking game I've played so far during this LD. In terms of Audio, it's also fantastic - very mellow beat, with cymbal crashes lining up with lightning strikes. The mood is just great.

Mechanically, there are some minor issues - jumping/flying often resets immediately unless you're either in the air, or at a stand-still. The camera is a little too delayed too, often causing me to lose track of where my player is. Also, possibly just a personal thing - but it looks like the parallax scrolling is going backwards ;)

All things considered though, this is a really solid entry. Well done!

The game felt very atmospheric. I wasn't sure why I was running or what I was supposed to interact with. The game was interesting and the graphics/audio played well with the mystery, but I didn't really understand why the attack left the player weak or who/what that other creature was (from the opening). It is a great game overall but I felt like there wasn't much context for the player's actions.

I really like the mood, the graphics and the audio of this game! For the gameplay, I found it hard to understand what to do with the other people you come across.
I also did not really understand the intro... :D

Wow, really interesting game. Has a great atmosphere, and the graphics and the music enhance the mysterious feeling. Even if there are some collision issues, it's not a big deal.

Good job !

I liked the game, even if there were a few issues with collision detection. Please stop writing in black, the sky is a deep navy blue. It's nearly impossible to read. I couldn't find a way to exit the game, so I was trapped in it for a while. Not that it's a bad thing, of course, but I don't want to fade, too.

I ran into some technical issues, but it was interesting, to say the least. The UI was not expecting me to be at the resolution I was at (Unity UI scaling is always a challenge). There is also no fullscreen close option (had to alt+F4). The ending was a bit abrupt and I didn't realize I was there until it happened. The music was amazing. I loved the cymbal crash for the lightning. It really added to the atmosphere and helped keep the music from becoming monotonous. The theme felt arbitrarily placed in, but I still liked the game overall :)

Cool game but I did not understand neither the aim nor the introduction ... Cool music though, that's remainder me my favorite game of all the time with this ambiance of apocalyptic late december ... Cool atmosphere, but yeah, I did not understand all the game x) Keep coding :)

Cool entry with a strange mood, a unusual colour sceme and a game which left much for interpretation on the story side (What was this "eye of sauron" on the left? What´s up with the lightning strikes?).
The intro is great, the sound very fitting.
I liked it a lot.

Relaxing game. The gameplay is a little too simple but the music and the choice of color make the mood very unique !
I liked the elements only here for the ambiance (the lightnings or the birds).

I liked that the title screen and the intro are somewhat explicit but require you to actually look at them (more or less like the murals in brutal legend). I would have loved if you went full retro with parallax and graphics only on the pixel grid, no alpha and low-res particles. The control could also have been tighter.
Loved the minimal narrative approach that let you interpret it.

As others have said before, that was a really relaxing experience :) i really like the sound and style of your game, that set a great mood :) In terms of gameplay i like that you included an ingame tutorial which force me to learn the controls :) one thing i didn't full understand tho was how i could restore energy? i always ran out of it after going to the right as far as i could and then the game restarted?

The audio was great and the environment was also put together **very** well. It would've been nice if you did your pixel art at a higher resolution though. The game itself was rather glitchy. The game seemed to be just a platformer with a few things added. Nothing new really. If the game itself had a bit more to it and you increased the resolution on your pixel art, I could see this doing pretty well.

I enjoyed the environment, the pixel art and the integration of sound into the game. The music was nice to listen to and fitting as well. Movement and controls seemed a little buggy. Theme was present but not really innovative, as it just amounted to a timer that you have to recharge. Mood was nice and got me interested in exploring.

Love the vibe, but didn't seem like much of a "game", more like a walking simulator. That said it was very pleasant for what it is. :) I also appreciated the musical sounds, including the talking of the other wizards.

Interesting idea, and a nice spin on the theme. The graphical side of the game was pleasing, not because it was the prettiest of pixel art, but it was nice and consistent.

It had some problems gameplay-wise with the controls since it had quite a few problems with reseting your input (especially when you tried to fly), which lead to me being stuck at some places where I had to jump 10+ times before it would let me fly. If the problems with the input gets fixed, then I would say it's a prety solid game

strange graphics, I like it a lot. Very much enjoyed the ride. Didn't punish you like a lot of the other games. Gave you time to breath a little :)

The thing I absolutely liked the most in this game was the power beam/lightening and how it interacted with the music! That was just great. The character design was really great too. I didn't really understand what I was supposed to do with the other character when I met them. The first time the interact help showed it did so by a bird, but I never figured out if I could interact with them. I did find the recharge tree things though. So the game needed to be a bit clearer with what it wanted me to do. The high jumps were that came before the pillars region were a bit awkward too. But in general a nice experience!

The generated music was a very nice touch on a pretty good idea of a game. The Ui had some slight scaling issues (as usual with unity though) but overall a good experience and a cool game!

I too had UI scaling issues. I liked the idea for the game, but it was way too easy. It was more like an experience than an actual game. Also, the art was very confusing. I think it would be better to have bland but clear art than to not understand the abstract sprites in a game. The black text on dark blue sky and purple ground was awkward, and a bit distracting.

edit: Wow, I apologize for sounding so negative. I just read this out load to myself

Very nice looking game. The looks and world atmosphere manage to make up for no action so I tried to play it to the end. I'm not sure what is going on in the intro though, but eventually I realized the angry leg bone is actually the sleeping wizard.

I wouldn't say the game is easy, climbing towards those pillars was intense, and when I got there I'm not sure if I won the game or died as I had one energy point and the screen faded out, I will try again later.

What a weird looking game. I love it. It's very mysterious. The gameplay is decent. The music felt a bit weird at times, but it was generated(?). Great weird entry. Cheers!
