Really nicely polished game! The graphics were excellent and I really liked the world map / level selector. Controls were slightly frustrating at times (I missed a lot of jumps while still getting the hang of them), but no more than any other unfamiliar platformer.

Nice game, lots of polish! Music is catchy and the pixel art is fantastic. Couldn't help but feel that the game could've had a stronger sense of speed to it. Overall impressive!

The graphics are beautiful, is pixel art at its best, the music is okay, the gameplay is fun and not complicated, the game is not short and gives some good minutes of gameplay, a great game.

High quality game, congrats! Spend 15 minutes on level 5 to learn all timings.
Some platforms were frustrating a bit - it was hard to identify on first try which are active and which belongs to background.

Anyone who manages to get make a tutorial and 5+ levels in ldjam game is a hero! nice pixel platformer, complete with sountrack. One thing I noticed is that you only get a speed bonus if you press right while in the air? that seems unorthodox.

The graphics and theme work well together, but the gameplay was hampered quite a bit by the tremendously slow movement speed. I found myself holding right all the time, and it still feeling quite slow. The gradual introduction of new gameplay elements was a really neat touch though.

Nice work! The graphical assets were good and I particularly enjoyed the smoothness of the animation. That said, there are some things still left you can work on. For starters the pixels seemed blurry and not crisp, which is probably due to interpolation. If possible in your engine, I'd turn it off. The other issue is the color palette. I understand the power plant is meant to be a dark place but these colors are a bit too muddy and I believe giving some more vibrancy and light to the player and tiles would not only look better but fit better with the quite jolly soundtrack. Speaking of which, the music was decent, if a touch repetitive. The gameplay is largely without major issues and it's pretty good fun even if not super original. My only complaints would have to do with the fact you get booted to the map after dying which slows the pace down unnecessarily. I'd just restart the level and let the player quit if they want to. Some more indication of which tiles will fall down and hurt the player would be good too. That said, this was still a fun and very solid entry so I congratulate you on that front!

This is really professional and the level design was really well done. Music also adds a nice retro feel to it. Well done guys.

@shell-pirate we used a browser-side pixel interpolation, so it looks like your browser doesn't support `image-rendering: pixelated;` !

Thanks everyone for your constructive comments

Awesome, one of the most finished games in the whole jam from what I've seen. Can't even say what I like more in particular, every part was cool in a way. My only gripe would be the way I'm feeling the jump works: you know how in different platformers you can jump from basically the last pixel of the edge in one game while you can't jump the moment a small part of your character is up in the air, off the edge in the other game? Those are extremes, but, well, I personally prefer the first way if I were to choose and here I was sometimes feeling like I become unable to jump a little bit too early. That said, I haven't played for hours so maybe it was just my imagination acting up, or maybe it was intentional and I was simply not the (sub-) target audience, so yeah, take my words with a bit of salt. :) All in all, it's an amazingly finished game for a jam, one I feel has the chances to get to the top of the leaderboard in the end. Well done!

Very cool runner with nice graphics (and parallax scrolling!). The game mechanics are solid and the game is not too hard so the player can enjoy the run. The music is dynamic and fits to the overall atmosphere of the game. Nonetheless it laks of sfx when player jumping, landing, or colliding with object and die.

Nice game!
Just a little tip: When you die you should automatically restart the same level and not get the player back to the main menu.
I really liked the intro, the overall animations and the gameplay.
Also you got time to make a good tutorial and a main menu.
It feels complete. :)

Whaaat! This is an excellent entry, you should be proud! Music, mood, level design and gameplay were top notch! <3 The graphics were pretty too. I can't believe you had time to make these levels *and* playtest them *and* make an overworld level selection <3

The unlock mechanic was very fair and very motivating as well! <3 Kudos!

This was good fun, it was a little difficult to tell the extent to which the robot could retreat and advance, but the control system was solid.

Really polished! Graphics were fantastic, the parallax scrolling backgrounds a really nice detail. The music was a good fit and unobtrusive. Really cool how you made a world map too, and optional collectibles in each level. This is honestly pretty complete as a runner game, the only change I can think of is to increase the pace a bit. Other than that, a really great effort!
