The Awful adventures of Awful Dave in Awful 3D World by Captain Tyx
This is a top down view beat them all, when you fight ennemies in a castle for some reasons. You capacities used to fight your ennemies are your strength, your resistance and your life amount. Choose to increase one of them, and it will cost the other capacities to decrease, so chose wisely which ones to sacrify ! And you will also have to choose a special power, that you can use once in a room. But using this power will have side effects so be careful !
Oh and the 3D is really awful by the way.. :/
First, you have to choose your speciality (Attack, Resistance or life amount) and a power which have a side effect. You cannot start the game until you chose both if it.
Then, the Inputs :
KEYBOARD : - W/Z = UP - S = DOWN - A/Q = LEFT - D = RIGHT - Left Click = Close Combat - Right Click = Using your power (usable once in a room, reusable in the next room)
Xbox COntroller : - Left Stick : Mooves - X Button : Close Combat - Y Button = Using your power (usable once in a room, reusable in the next room)

However I don't really understand, it use the classic way of keyboard gaming, adapted for both Keyboards (WASD & ZQSD) + mouse buttons. Could you be more accurate on what is not going well ?

Since you don't use the mouse for position or rotation, I would avoid using it for key input. Try using keys on the opposite side of the keyboard, like jkl; or control the character with the mouse (movement, rotation or both!)

I can see how the soundtrack was chosen to be funny and weird, but I think a bit of it gets a little grating after some time.
I also like how you have to choose something that gets in the way, kinda reminds of the characteristics in Fallout New Vegas, that had this idea of one good thing in exchange for one bad thing.

Yes, I agree with you, initially I planned to add lifebars above ennemies head, but I think I had a bad timing organization and I had to give up on that and many other ideas ^^
And I figured too that the lifebar is sometimes slower than the value of player's life, which give the impression to not having the good value, but i saw that like..in the end and I was too tired to correct it xD

Honestly, I created the music like, 5 minutes before building the final Game, I just opened musescore and randomly add notes on a partition, and then I had my level music xD

But if you chose the resistance capacitie, it cas absorb damages while you are dabbing, this is a good combination ;)
The game is fun with nice graphics and animations. I just did not really know when I was hitting or not: I was spamming the left click and somtimes it did not attack, even if I attacked a long time ago. With that problem, I did not go really far (as I was mostly running away from enemies and try to hit them once then repeat ^^) into the game but it was enjoyable overall. Good job :)
What I liked the most:
- It's humour. The boat thing made me laugh out loud. Definetly caught me off guard!
- The idea of sacrificing an attribute to boost another one, and the idea of abilities having a sort of penalty, it's elegant!
- You mentioned the 3d art, but it's not problematic at all. It's fine, it is a compo!
Biggest problems for me:
- The animations of the attacks are a bigger problem though. The punch didn't feel like punching and many times I thought that the animation didn't play (but I enjoyed the exaggerated running animation though haha).
- Because of the attacking animations, sometimes I felt like the impact on the enemies never happened, even though I was facing them and attacking them. Not sure if it's a bug or the animation just makes it more confusing. Oh, the kicking animation was good though!
Congratulations one again on the entry, we all know it's hard and compo is even more!
