A "Hardcore FPS Clicker Game" full of kittens and sugary cereal!

Development

We tried to make hardcore meets casual. Our take on the theme was to make a clicker game (about kittens and cereal) with FPS shooter mechanics in it. You have to click to obtain Frootz, a kitten cereal. At the same time, there is a First Person Shooter game running in an in-game PC. The problem is that the game is not running at a smooth frames per second rate, so you cannot play it very well. The more you click, the more FPS (frootz per second) you get, which corresponds to the FPS (frames per second) of the FPS (first person shooter) game the kittens are playing.

This game jam was crazy, specially considering we had no team until the very start of it and we all were already overwhelmed with tons of college assignments. With tons of dedication, we finished the game and we are pretty satisfied with the results. Most people who played it are saying its addicting! :D

Ha ha, what did I just play?! That was hilarious. Great job, so weird and creative and fun. And the little purchase-meow sound effect was icing on the cake. :)

@weekend-panda Awkward Curiosity: The purchase-meow sound effect was my voice saying "Nyan" with a high pitch. Also, thank you so much for the feedback. There is a lot of satisfaction on seeing people like something you were part of <3

This is a pretty funny game! I was really hoping that the gameplay itself would involve playing a first person shooter.

What is this madness?! I love it!!!! I played for way too long. As a cat owner, I can absolutely relate to this. I don't know why. Also, it feels so good to be able to hit that damn computer. Also...a very relaxing experience. Wow. What a ride.

This is not a game. This is art.

...Nah, in all seriousness, I'd have maybe liked to see a few more options for things to buy with your Frootz once you've played for a decent bit. Perhaps some more desk toys? Regardless, excellent work.

Open, walk away, wonder why cat is watching the screen 8 hours later...

Great addition to the idle game genre.

Fantastic visual and auditory design with a good sense of humour to boot. Giving this game a little more meat in terms of progression would make it a potential 5/5 in a lot of categories.

I laughed so hard haha. Music is great and adds to the whole comic vibe. I could never get more than 8 fps. Is that normal?

Cats are banding together to take over the FPS competitive scene. We stand no chance. Abandon all hope. Humorous game. Well done.
