Congratulation with your first finished game. I can recommend tweaking the game balance. Killing enemies is quite boring because you need to shoot a lot of time before they die. As idea, you can drop powerups randomly or make killing enemies more challenging (hard to aim).

Nice job finishing your first game!

Some simple changes that could make your game a little more enganging:

· Drop the enemies hp a lot (like, a couple of shot to die max)

· Don't interrupt the player shooting rate (it's a little annoying, feels better to maintain a constant rate of fire; you can tweak the duration of the rate instead)

· More enemy waves per phase, each increasily more difficult (now that the enemies are weaker, this makes sense)

Hope you had fun making the game :D

Really liked the lighting following the player and the transitions between levels were very smooth. The animations were also very polished and I loved the rocket scene at the end. The 3D low-poly models were very nice but I felt as if the black outlined pixel art GUI didn't quite match the rest of the game. Overall, a really fun game!

That's a really neat game! Especially for a first Jam! I liked the fact that it looked like a finished game (even if the main menu lacks a "Quit" button ;) ). As @nuebomundo said, a constant rate of fire would be enjoyable. Also I noticed that dead enemies can still hurt you and shoot bullets (in the last level) before they disapear. Overall the game is nice, and the music is catchy. Keep it up! :)

Congratulations on your first game, this however won't effect how I rate the game.

Graphics.
Best part, I especially like the design of the spaceship. 4/5.

Theme.
I didnt see anything that followed the theme here at all. 1/5

Audio.
Sounds effects are good, track is okay. 4/5.

Humor.
There is no humor so I wont rate this category.

Innovation.
Just standard shooter. 1/5.

Fun.
Was fun for a little bit, the basic game loop was fun I agree with everything nueboMundo said. 3/5.

Dude, bitte, mach mehrere Spiele! :D Not bad for your first try. I loved playing it. However it isn't very much to the theme. Did you make the music, too? It's awesome. I loved the monsters, they were super cute. Camera movement was nice, controls good.
I'd "deactivate" the dead bodies from receiving shots, but that's a matter of preference. Also a small bug is that when a body is dead, you can still get damage from it by touching it. Doesn't matter, I played to the end! GUT GEMACHT!

Overall nice graphics and music, I likes the enemy models, they fitted with the music super well! The shooting sound was a bit repetitive and the game lacked some difficulty that could be added with shooting enemies (especially those fat ones with a big mouth, first time I saw them I could only think: damn, here are the shooting enemies"), faster ones... Another problem is the movement that is quite slippery and slow for that type of game. I also would lose hp to dead monsters, and that sometimes without noticing. The biggest problem however is that I'm not running out of power - well, my spaceship does, but it doesn't mean that much in game, I don't have to try powering it up or anything. I see it's your first jam though - which gets you some cheers ;)
I recorded some gameplay, can I upload it? I'd of course link back and keep you informed :)

Yay! Like the graphics! The only thing that may be fixed is some animation smoothing. I didn't manage to find the exit from starting location, so can say only for first level. I like the idea, the shooting mechanic. I found that enemies can hurt you even when they are already dead - would be nice to make quick fix. Overall, I like it!

@surovyi The game is a Wave shooter, so you just need to kill the aliens :D then you get to the next level.. :)

Nice game, I liked the music. But the enemies some time get stuck on walls. And the players walk animation don't respond correctly when I walk.

Great game! I enjoyed playing and I really love the low poly art style. Possibly a bit too easy, I just had to back pedal through the levels and the enemies could never get me. I played both versions and I think you balanced the 2nd version quite a bit better so kudos!
