Your health is currency in this game. With it, you purchase seeds that will grow into more health. Some bugs will try to break the plants, but you must protect them by shooting projectiles. Nice job.
I gotta say I was not compleeetely sure about the harvest life thing I just keep shooting enemies for 1 minute until I was dead, but it was decent and challenging, also good balance of enemies and the controls feel natural :)

The game mechanic is simple, works well and fits the theme quite clearly. I really felt compelled to defend my seeds, but difficulty is a bit punishing at the moment (green bugs essentially ruin all my crops :sob:)
Graphics could use some work to make the game screen a bit more readable, especially near the buttons.
I also found a weird bug that broke keyboard controls if I right clicked on the game. Not even restarting worked, I had to reload the page.
Despite these two things you've got quite a solid entry, congrats!
There are a couple things that you could do to polish it up. The text is very hard to read against the busy grass background, so even doing something simple like giving it a black outline would go far. Also, there was more than once that I was shooting at a bug and accidentally purchased a weapon upgrade that killed me. The first time I felt like I should have known better, but the second time it happened it was frustrating.
Maybe take away the need for the player to press or hold the button to shoot? You could easily have the carrot autofire at the cursor constantly and then the player would click only when they mean to purchase something.
Also, the flash screen is a little small. The play area itself is fine, but if you scaled it up to twice the size it would work well.

I love the carrot character! And how he's trying to bounce to the music. Whoever made the music should give you the tempo so he can line up exactly :)
But generally the character and enemies are very cute. Nice work :)
