Link is broken for me :/

@Rytannic Fixed it now, I stupidly forgot to make the itch.io page public. Derp.

@Holofire Not a problem! Just happy I told you about it early on.
Played the game! Loved the music and art style. The gameplay was fast-paced and I could feel the pressure when I really needed a particular card. Sadly it felt a bit unfair or perhaps too random? Perhaps I'm just bad though haha. In general, definitely one of the best I've played so far

@Rytannic Aha cheers for playing! Yeah the difficulty is ramps up pretty quickly, I've only managed to beat it without cheating once. I really appreciate the comment :)

Cool game, cool music, cool concept, and all of that, but I just made about 120 m ^^' The game is not well balanced I think ^^' I was surprised also when I saw the player just being deformed ^^ Otherwise the art is quite good, and I mainly like the pictures for the cards.

Cool overall game, keep coding :)

Works really well. Simple enough to grasp immediately, enough different options to keep you on your toes. Nice job.

Nice game. We thought about a game like that. You did it well, it's clean. Maybe the jump is a little bit too much slow but it had to be like that because of the gameplay.
My only regret is the slow pace of the game.

@Mathiouza Yeah the balancing is the main thing I'd tweak if I had more time, it gets really difficult at the end. 120m is pretty good though, the highest Ive seen anyone get. Thanks for playing!

@iMer Aha yep the difficult ramps up quickly, got to have those fast reactions. Thanks for playing!

@Narudgi I struggle to keep my energy up aswell, definitely have to keep an eye on it. If I had time I would have balanced it a bit better to make sure energy was in enough supply. Thanks for playing!

@Mau I haven't even mastered it myself, managed to beat it once before I submitted it. Thanks for playing!

@MathijsVissers Cheers for the comment, I really appreciate your kind words

@Killnaprimer Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed playing because I certainly enjoyed making it!

@badpaul34 Man the jump physics almost caused me to tear my hair out. I had to jump leave it in the end because I was spending too much time on it. If I had more time I would have balanced it a bit better and changed the overall pacing. Thanks for playing!

Just published a fix to clean up the audio and added a toggle so you can now disable the music and sound effects! Thanks everyone for playing, I'll make sure to play each of your games aswell!

I like the overall concept and it's really fun to play, though I'm kind of bad at it :stuck_out_tongue: It may be wise to group together the same types of cards in a sort of deck where each is offset by a few pixels upwards instead of having the side deck where you don't exactly know what's inside.

@MoffKalast Thanks for playing! I almost removed the deck itself during development as I thought it might be too difficult to understand with the pace of the game. If I had the time I would definitely rework how the deck works and possibly remove it.

This game is just perfect. Loved it. I could play for hours.
Fit the theme perfectly. Really hard but in a good way. Good job.

Amazing BGM and sound effects, cool animations, a perfect blend of your two themes. What's not to like?

Used a slide card to "slide" over a jump gap! 10/10!

Everything about this game exudes polish and fun! Great job!!!!

The only real nitpick i have is i want 1,2,3,4,etc buttons to use the cards instead of the mouse and i want the cards to automatically slot in next to each other as i use them up. I purchased a "jump" card and it ended up on the next page of cards that i didn't know i had and caused me to fail #feelsbad.

I got ~82m

@pndaa & @SaberOfSong Thank you for playing guys, I really appreciate the kind words you both have said

@Rocktavious Oh you've just made me realise something about the slide card I overlooked. Since i had to redo it last minute I cheated a bit and just made it so the players hitbox and gravity were temporarily disabled. Forgot that it would cause the player to float  And yeah, the controls thing I might add today at some point. Thanks for playing

It should be a good game, if I can beat my 6m record. This stupid character can't jump the whole pit... :'( I tried 10 times... I think it's not my game :(

24. Apr 2018 · 19:09 UTC
@ragnta I am currently working on a fix for that. Im assuming you have a slightly older PC meaning the game has a lower framerate which causes a problem with how the game calculates jumping. Should have a fix out within a few hours.

As I know, the rendering needs some GPU or Processor. I have i5-6600 and gtx 1050 Ti... If I need better pc for a html5 game, I think I will miss it :D Are you sure in your theory? :o

24. Apr 2018 · 20:04 UTC
@ragnta I have just put a new web build up that should hopefully make it so jumping still works at lower framerates. Let me know how it goes if you try it

This was really good. It didn't seem anything was missing or even unpolished, so very well scoped game. The music was a bit too repetitive, but other than that everything was really spot on!

This is one of those LD games that don't really need any extra work.

Haha awesome effort. The deck/hand confused me at first, as I couldn't use any card in the deck pile, and it wasn't really explained. But I caught on pretty quick. Overall, it was simple and easy to learn
