Fire Tornado is an arcade game: use your tornado gun to drag enemies away, and push them into traps to find your way to the treasures hidden in Critter Island.

How to play

:cloud_tornado: + :spider: + :fire: = :tada:

:cloudtornado: + :woman: = :headbandage:

3x :gem: = :trophy:

Spiders and snakes are dangerous, but so is a pack of tornadoes spiralling out of control! Your tornado gun will help you keep the monsters at bay, but handle your tornadoes with care. Remember that the more you have, the worse it is.

Controls

  • Arrow Keys - Move
  • Mouse - Aim
  • Mouse LB - Shoot a tornado!

A cool little find and seek kind of game, I can see the fun in running around spewing tornados and killing spiders, This follows the theme quite well, more tornados harder to do things. I can see this going somewhere, more levels more vacuum weapons and this could be a very fun game

NIce game... Sound effect would have a great impact into this game.
Really liked the idea, and the theme implementation.

Love the video trailer. It helps advertise the game, and made me curious to try it.

Wasn't a big fan of the art style, but it was consistent which is really important

played very well

Fun little game! I love the spinning effect when the bugs get stuck in tornadoes.

Sound would really help, and maybe increasing the movespeed of both the player and the bugs would make the game flow a bit better? Right now it feels a bit sluggish.

I liked the mechanic, the implementation is a very good quality, small bug with some crates, but nothing game-breaking.

Some sound would be a plus, and some more elements to work with.

Bump!

Very nice tutorial, the level design is sweet, I can't say I like the invisible walls however.
Well done

Firenados strike back! It's a pretty original take on the theme, and shooting tornados can't be else than cool :)The placement of fire pits could have been more penalizing, but making a lot of them pop at the same time make it "worse" anyway, well-fiting the theme.
Good job!

Love the fire + tornado mechanic and the cartoony art style, but really dislike how damn slow the character is and the "out of bounds" invisible walls.

Good concept with tornado.

Really enjoy the tornado mechanic it adds skill. I can see it being expanded into a whole set of elemental damage types and rock paper scissors style enemy combat where you have to balance difference types of damage for different types of bugs/monsters.

I really don't like that you are monitizing jammers reviewing entires, it's very tacky. I'm all for people releasing a post-compo version and charging money, just not on your entry that needs judging.

I can walk above the waters! Hahahahah.

Within the level I felt quite lacking in sound.

There is not much guidance from where the crystals are (it seems that I have to join three) ends up making the exploration of the map a bit tedious, because the movement is always the same.

I suggest you put a form of running in addition to the walk.

@mrphil the game is hosted in gamejolt, we don't have the option to disable ads afaik. Happy to do so if there's a possibility at all.

@Edword I see, that's understandable. I'd suggest checking out itch.io to host next time, they have non-monetized options..
