Kind of a shame that there's only 3 levels but being able to manipulate the grid by adding tiles is very cool.","likes":3,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"Pawciu","author_uid":"1125804","time":"2018-12-04T02:42:41Z","epoch":1543891361,"modified":1543891361,"text":"First thoughts:\n- I didn't know which where on the map am I\n- I didn't get at first why I should place red or blue\n- And the little green things that recharges the movement(green stuff), I didn't know what is it for and should i go for it (or maybe its to late for my brain)\n\nAnyway very interesting idea, take care! Everything works like it says on the tin, but it was hard to engage me without much going on in the way of game play, At times it just felt like I could run right through without really needing to worry. I liked the music a lot, it really put me in the right mood for the game.","likes":2,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"XCVZXC","author_uid":"1079689","time":"2018-12-04T12:03:18Z","epoch":1543924998,"modified":1543924998,"text":"Quite fun game with interesting mechanics. There's definitely a lot to do to polish this up! We are thinking of dedicating some time to make more levels and give more explanation of the overall goals of the game (in a way that isn't too \"hand holdy\").\n\n","likes":0,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"skettyNmeebs","author_uid":"1033750","time":"2018-12-05T02:24:49Z","epoch":1543976689,"modified":1543976761,"text":"This is a very interesting idea. I love the game of life, its really cool that you've managed to implement it into a game. I would love to see what becomes of this. Are you planning on continuing the idea?\n\nEdit: the post right above me is you lmao I'm sorry. Cool idea, I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Life simulations are always cool to watch, but are often difficult to follow and predict down the line (at least for me). It might be cool to shift focus to making the levels a little harder, but I get to restart on that level after quickly failing (like Super Meat Boy). I can get more familiar with the starting pattern, and can plan more accordingly for subsequent attempts. Overall great game! Keep it up!","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"rjhelms","author_uid":"1000104","time":"2018-12-29T19:42:59Z","epoch":1546112579,"modified":1546112579,"text":"Really cool idea, but needs to be more challenging to really be \"a game\" if you know what I mean - messing around with the Game of Life is fun, and this is an interesting context for it, but you can pretty much entirely ignore it and still beat all three levels without running out of resources.\n\nMaybe that mostly has to do with the length of the game as it stands, as there's not enough time to really run down any of the meters!","likes":1,"format":"md"}],"format":"md","images":["ld43\/126631-327d241ddbb70f9c891f6ced35ed38b4.png"],"links":[{"url":"https:\/\/hexbit-studios.itch.io\/diminution","text":"Windows"}],"metadata":{"g_key":"43435","g_author":"1126619","g_event":"LD43","g_eventkey":"71","g_subevent":"JAM","g_urlkey":"226014","g_title":"Diminution","g_status":"USEAR3","g_place":"681","g_commentcount":"10","g_site2_node_id":"126631","g_hide":"N","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":{"n_key":"126631","n_urlkey":"226014","n_parent":"120415","n_path":"\/events\/ludum-dare\/43\/diminution","n_slug":"diminution","n_type":"item","n_subtype":"game","n_subsubtype":"jam","n_author":"126619","n_created":"1543545286","n_modified":"1543888204","n_version":"397190","n_status":"COMMIT"},"node":{"id":126631,"parent":120415,"superparent":9,"author":126619,"type":"item","subtype":"game","subsubtype":"jam","published":"2018-12-04T01:41:13Z","created":"2018-11-30T02:34:46Z","modified":"2018-12-04T01:50:04Z","version":397190,"slug":"diminution","name":"Diminution","body":"This is a small prototype done over Ludum Dare 43 weekend.\n\nYou are trying to get data through a computer.
