Unfinished platform game by ciderpunk

Stopped with 8 hours to spare on the compo, uploaded on Monday 'cos i wasn't gonna bother; it was going no-where. But i put a load of time into it so may as well show it!
cursor keys to move, z to jump and x to shoot... not that there's anything to shoot.
developed in Intellij using LibGDX and Box2d Krita and some paint.net for art Tiled for maps Sound? hah!
What i learned Prep is key when using anything lower level than Unity, if you're going feasibly to make a platform game in 48 hours, have a base project ready to go, don't waste time on art, specially when you're as bad at art as me!

This is a pretty good start to a game. The controls work fine and the visuals look good. I think you really nailed the bullet spray, especially the little explosion that happens when a bullet hits the wall. It's definitely disappointing that you left the game where you did. This game would be pretty fun with just a few enemies and a basic level layout. I wouldn't have been so quick to give up on this thing if I were you. There's no shame in submitting for the jam when you're running out of time for the compo. For what it is, you have a pretty solid foundation for a game.

I can underline the previous post. Good basis for a game. Would have played it longer :)
