It would be neat if space just cancelled the grappling hook instead of pulling you towards the anchor point.\n* I like the big, empty sky setup, it was very easy to keep track of the rocks and figure out my next move.\n* The bounding box highlights on whatever rock the cursor was over made it clear when I was clicking on the right thing and when I was not. I think I would have gotten very frustrated very quickly if I hadn't known whether the rock was my sights correctly or not.\n* That said, it would be nice if there was an indicator of whether or not a rock was in range for grappling. Maybe turn the indicator a different color or have it jitter or something? I dunno.\n* I'm so glad the rocks are actual models instead of cubes, they definitely add to the visual interest of the scene, even if they are just rocks floating in space :P\n\nThanks for making this game!\n","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"broken-matrix","author_uid":"1003178","time":"2018-04-25T16:26:37Z","epoch":1524673597,"modified":1524673597,"text":"Thanks for rating! The grapping motion thing is kind of a bug, I'll fix it if I make a newer version.\n\nIn case anyone is wondering what the bug is:\nWhen you hold W\/S it just updates the position instead of adding to the velocity, it sort of seems like nothing is wrong when you are swinging because it stills pulls you in the other direction. The problem is when you release the velocity is just the force pulling you towards the grappling point minus the rope length so if you have passed the center pivot point then you will swing backwards.","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"Annie Owl","author_uid":"1053290","time":"2018-04-28T19:37:24Z","epoch":1524944244,"modified":1524944299,"text":"Well, understanding what the hell i'm supposed to do, and why do i have wireframe mode and EVEN EDITOR! is already a fine puzzle for me  I think it would have been better if you said about our goal on first level, not at the end of the second level. I tried to do a grappling hook thing on one of my Ludum Dare games a while ago (it was on the old site) but I couldn't get anything good so I just used other mechanics. I really like the idea of grappling hooks, and I was thinking about them from playing Terraria and Starbound so I decided to try it again in this game. Judging from the comments it seems like it turned out pretty good. I think I will work on this game again sometime soon but I just need to take a break to get fresh ideas after working on it 18 hours a day for 3 days straight. xD","likes":0,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"ian1337","author_uid":"1090501","time":"2018-05-06T10:58:10Z","epoch":1525604290,"modified":1525604290,"text":"Fun Fun Fun :)\n\nThat's what is all about :)\n\nWhat do you think of this one, is it even slightly as fun as your game\nhttps:\/\/ldjam.com\/events\/ludum-dare\/41\/sam","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"Pond Loach","author_uid":"1083344","time":"2018-05-06T13:57:13Z","epoch":1525615033,"modified":1525615033,"text":"can u please leave a web version of the game","likes":0,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"Virtual Window","author_uid":"1013002","time":"2018-05-06T18:27:00Z","epoch":1525631220,"modified":1525631220,"text":"it brings back old memories for me. i had some fun. it had some problems for me tust to figure out what was going on but after that i had fun.","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"broken-matrix","author_uid":"1003178","time":"2018-05-06T19:22:29Z","epoch":1525634549,"modified":1525634549,"text":"@Pond Loach sorry this game was made in Java and most browsers don't allow online Java applications, and even if they do the operating system firewall would most likely block it. These batteries were used to power giant space lasers. The space lasers were so powerful that the giant flying squid population of 500 million was completely irradicated in less than a week after the lasers went into use. After four long years, the war was finally over and the world returned to peace. Over the years Elon Musk's companies developed numerous groundbreaking technologies such as self-refilling vegemite jars, fail-proof head transplants, and finally the first frozen vegemite powered rocket. In 2043 the \"BushBoi3000\", the name for the first frozen vegemite powered rocket chosen by the internet left for the first manned interstellar journey. After the successful mission, hundreds of more frozen vegemite powered rockets were built in Earth's home solar system. After the invention of a modified version of vegemite that extended human lifespan, the average lifespan rose to almost 180 years. In 2124 the number of terrorist suicide incidents was over 20 million. However, the rocket building facilities had surprisingly low security as there hadn't been a rocket related terrorist attack since 2021. On June 6th, 2125 a young 70 year old man named Coxminshkidi removed all of the control circuits from the frozen vegemite powered rockets in a rocket station orbiting Jupiter. Later that day nearly 300 passenger frozen vegemite powered rockets exploded and left every planet in the solar system completely covered in frozen vegemite. One of the side effects was the speeding vegemite hurdling through space knocked asteroids into Earth's orbit. Some unexplained strange things also happened such as lowered gravity and the asteroids started floating. Elon Musk was very upset about these recent events and decided that he would rather destroy the universe than live in a world where Earth was covered in frozen vegemite. Three days before the bomb was going to be detonated a Space-X employee managed to escape the Elon space slave camps and get the news out. Most of the population didn't even hear about it, and most of them who did didn't believe it.
