You've got a good idea and nice graphics =) and I liked the music tune a lot. Didn't expect the ability to sacrifice the left controller, nice touch.
I also found it a bit too hard, especially due to enemies moving aggressively backwards since you cannot reliably keep a steady flow without avoiding damage, and slowly shooting them from safe positions doesn't really fit the game's implicated fast pacing. Besides, they take two bloody hits to kill =)

It was really nice that the game had controller support (I prefer playing platformers with a controller). The camera movement was really jarring and I struggled to follow the player's movement. The music and visuals were good but I felt the noise effect was a little distracting. Good work!

@owen-rees Sorry for the noise effect, we know that it disturb some peop les, we put it to give a "retro aspect" to the game. However, thanks for your feedback !

This game was excellent! Felt like a true classic right from the start, like something I'd find in a late 80s arcade. One thing I didn't realized until after the fact though, was that you can right away choose to sacrifice ALL of your abilities the first time around. I did this like a dummy and had to play stages 2-8 with everything sacrificed! Might've been better to only allow the player to choose up to one thing to sacrificed per level.

Even still though, the gameplay was balanced enough that it didn't feel impossible and I really enjoyed playing it. Great design, art, and audio!

Nice game, I felt the camera moved a bit quickly and the slide ability might have been more useful if it did more damage. but look and feel was excellent

Amazing music and graphics, and these are very important as they keep me from wanting to skip everything! Gameplay and the sacrificing is very cool and works well, as does the level design.
But i found that you can just sacrifice everything, as long as you don't sacrifice the double jump, most levels you can usually just speed past by spamming double jump, it's so fast no one can touch you.
Great work anyway!

good graphics, nice retro sound design but c'mon an unskipable cutscene after each restart? You can do better then that! Nice game anyways

This is an amazing game! The gameplay was great and reminded me of good old games. I liked the music and soundtrack a lot, it's hard not to move to the music, it's so good! Graphics are really great! I like the idea of sacrificing something each level to get more time and how it changed whole game. Couple of times I got lucky and finished a level pretty quickly so didn't have to sacrifice anything. I finished having both my blaster and double jump and I think that without them I would have a lot of trouble! Overall it's a truly great game, congrats guys!

Impressive entry! Satisfying gameplay, fun music, I had a fun time playing it! Beware of the spelling errors though, as well as making sure sound effects don't stack too much, it got slightly annoying (but I sacrificed my audio unit :D)
It was quite easy to pick the game up and get the mechanics as well, good job!

Cool ideas :)
A bit hard to control with this zoomed camera x)

Fun concept and good accompanying music. The camera seemed too zoomed in which became noticeable when jumping and you could see what was above or in front of you. As others mentioned, the noise effect was a little too strong for my taste. I like how you tied sacrificing into the game. Keep up the good work!

I really liked the mega man vibe, although I would have liked to feel more powerful at the beginning. Having the enemy only require one hit to be defeated would have helped here- it was frustrating to dash attack then have to wait to completely off them. Quite a few of the abilities I didn't know I had! Perhaps you could have a way to introduce them?
